High on Life been going crazy, MS should lock down these devs to make fun wacky content for Gamepass.

This too. Xbox definitely needs more Game Pass titles from these guys, critics overall may not like it but it's clearly a hit and a very unique Game Pass title that has very good word of mouth. Didn't even need much marketing for it to blow up, I keep seeing it on my Twitter trending too, Lol.

Should try to be the publisher of their next title even.

They'd make a good acquisition.

Get to it MS. I want a new toy to play with. #RatZMAD

I think we've all underestimated High on Life, it's making waves. Less than a week after release and it's already the 8th most played game released this year on TA, crazy.

Still haven't gotten 7 on ps5 as it never goes down in price.

If you buy the PS4 version of FFVII Remake and have a PS5 - you can get a free upgrade to the PS5 version.

Just put the PS4 version disc if you have it physically or if you have it digitally, it should upgrade automatically.

I have the physical PS4 version but dont have a PS5 so I havent done that yet.

The game's been $20 physical - not sure if you are in NA but the best place to track or see is : https://www.dekudeals.com/items/final-fantasy-vii-remake

Its $29.99 right now physically. Lowest digitally looks like its been $23.99 as of Mar 2022 and recent sales dipped it down to $29.99.

DealReporter is saying that the European Commission goes on holidays from this Friday (December 23rd) until January 3rd. During that period deal reviews will be paused.

So, if something has to happen in the EU it should be this week. Although it's way more likely in mid-late January.

If you kind of think about it as a indie dev, if you are going to put your game on console and you did not get a GP deal or any deal at all from MS, then the order or devices would be Nintendo and Sony and Xbox last because of marketshare.  While it might seem like MS should just be throwing around money to everybody, I am sure they are select at this point and seek the biggest bang for their bucks.  That will not always match up with every user expectations.

You are literally backing up my point. Marketshare is the main reason behind these decisions, not some conspiracy or hate bias.

That is because I agree with your point.  People believe that MS should be throwing money around like they are some celebrity in a strip bar but in reality each department has a budget and they need to operate in that budget.  I am sure there are some company wide things that get bigger check marks like GP because its tied to the CEO Bonus but every day deals probably not so much.

As you have stated, there is no need for any Japanese developer to develop for a system that sells as bad as the Xbox within their own country.  Most probably do not have a dedicated Xbox developer or crew for the conversion, testing and QA.  These things take money and dev studios have budgets they need to stick to or they go into the red.  If they believe they are not going to get the return in the amount of investment it takes to produce a port, especially during the initial release of the product then they probably should not do it.

MS tried that whole purchase Japanese games during the 360 era and there were a lot of games in Japan that never made it to the US for the 360 as I remember this vividly when I visited to teach a development class.  I was actually shocked at how big the 360 section was but then when you looked at Nintendo and Sony you were like ohhh.  It wasn't even close.  So the question is do you continue to build towards your strength or do you continue to build towards your weakness.  You only have so much money to go around and you cannot just throw it at everything so you have to be select.  Try to find the biggest bang for your bucks and hope you hit some homeruns.  Going after big boys like Square may sound great but would one of their games on your platform change your landscape or would a bunch of high quality smaller titles.  I guess that is the question.
