What Microsoft should do is speed up the cert time for early access titles, it's early access, the consumer is willingly and knowingly taking the risk of major bugs and shit breaking, so it surely should not be as strict as a full release cert process, that way Palworld and other games won't be so far behind their Steam counterpart. Having said that, I've even read in the past about Windows Store full releases being behind their Steam counterpart in updates but I think Steam will always be faster just because of how relaxed they are, while Windows uses the Xbox cert process.

I'm not sure Windows Store should use Xbox's cert process though.

Also the game released on Friday and it's a weekend, Lmao.

Bit awkward timing for the Xbox cert time, can't blame em for not rushing approval.

Watching The Palworld vs Pokemon Fan Wars.

The memes are killing me, Lmao.

Yeah, I tried it on Xbox and it crapped out multiple times, sometimes even crashing the console. It autosaves very generously, so nothing is lost, still annoying. The feeling I get (and I got a similar feeling from Craftopia as well), is that the general gameplay loop is enticing (well, it is the loop from Rust, Valheim, Ark etc. so no wonder), but the game lacks polish and the coding skills of Pocketpair is pretty bad. Which also explains why it isn't on PS5, I doubt that MS has paid anything at the devs, because until three days ago they were a crappy indie dev lacking success, now they are only a crappy indie dev. This is frustrating, as the game is so close to being pretty good, as the gameplay loop works. Maybe with this success they can hire a few good coders.

So.. you think they put their games on Gamepass just because they like it?

Looking at the recent Game Pass deals MS has done with Indie devs (Tunic, Death Doors, Vampire Survivors, Power Wash Simulator, Scorn, Lies of P, Atomic Heart, etc) indeed doesn't look like MS is interested in paying extra money for full exclusivity, so I agree with you on that one, but then again, none of those games blew up like this one, so it remains to be seen if: 1) The viral success of this game sparked MS's interest enough to make an offer, and 2) If the devs will accept whatever amoun t Microsoft might offer; I mean, their value in the market has just skyrocketed so it would have to be a pretty sizeable amount.

But regardless, the developers already said that they will consider a PS5 port in the future so, even if they start working on it today, it will not come to playstation anytime soon.

Tom Warren is reporting the Xbox controller refresh should be launching later this year. That would be really awesome and I can’t wait for that one, so long as the joysticks are a bit more durable and/or replaceable.

Palworld on Xbox and Windows Store/PC Gamepass is now confirmed to be behind the Steam version in terms of patches because Microsoft certification of the patch isn't finished yet. Patch should be coming soon to fix the issues on Xbox and Windows Store.

He's basing it on the FTC leak which actually pinned the release date as May, same month as Hellblade, it has haptics stuff along with other enhancements so it's really perfect timing for the perfect game.

Hopefully it happens and comes with everything from the leaked specs, would be great to have improved haptic feedback (similar to PS5), a rechargeable battery that comes with the controller, quieter buttons and sticks, and the rest of the new features.

I don't think Microsoft will pay for exclusivity or rather, pay to make an already released game remain only on their console for longer, they've had stuff like Roblox in the past which was a massive game, exclusive to Xbox for years but I don't believe they ever paid them, it was honestly weird as hell that Roblox didn't come to PlayStation sooner.

If I'm a developer with a game which blows up like this, I'd want it on as many platforms ASAP so there's probably no reasonable amount that Microsoft could offer them but they're a small developer, Xbox has looser early access rules and the PS port isn't in development yet so it likely has at least 6 months of exclusivity for Xbox.

That being said, I really want it to release on Switch for maximum chaos.

Yeah, I had a feeling the game was poorly optimized.

Also a major reason why I always avoid playing Early access titles.

Excited for this, hopefully it has a decent battery life (since the rumor says rechargeable) more like the Switch Pro controller rather than the Dualsense.
