Well, anyway, I will happily play both AC Mirage and Motorsport reboot, no matter now poorly critics review a game they can't dissuade me from playing it if I was already interested in playing it. It will be awhile though before I can get to either of them, right now I'm trying to plow my way through the remainder of the Yakuza series to prepare for the 2 new entries in November and January. Plowing through Yakuza 4 still, which is a rather meaty game with lots of side content (around 80 hours if you want to do everything apparently), just finished the 3rd playable character last night, Tanemura, and am finally to the Kiryu chapter now. May need to skip side content on some of these just so that I can get 4, 5, 6, 7, and Ishin remake done in time to play Gaiden in November.

Damn, you're making the games sound like they're Redfall quality

Believe it or not, there are people out there who will skip any games that review below 80, which in the case of AC Mirage at least would keep people from playing it. As it is, 28% of critics are recommending that people not play Mirage on Opencritic. Forza, isn't quite that bad off, while reviews are lower than they deserve to be at 85, only 9% of critics are saying you should skip it.

I personally don't understand why there's this disconnect with reviewers. Motorsport is now an 18 year old franchise and Horizon is now 11 years old. There wasn't much of an issue like this for years.

Reviewers do realize that but it's an easy way to give a lower score with the excuse that they prefer Horizon eben though it's absolutely illogical to compare them in a review except maybe for number of cars. Many reviewers just hate to give Xbox credit for anything because they personally don't like the route they are going so that fucking Xbox is more fun as to review their games fair.

Yeah, How Long to Beat has it listed as like 65 hours for main+side content and a whopping 150 hours for a full 100% completion. I haven't gone for full 100% on any of the Yakuza games so far, I've only been going for all substories, the unique side modes (like Cabaret club, make a fighter, and the Majima construction one), and the easier minigame achievements for things like bowling and Sega arcade games, while skipping the harder minigames like Mahjong and baseball. But Yakuza 5 is so big I may need to just do a select few substories to level up and make main story fights easier instead of all substories, and skip most side modes and minigames.

Thankfully 6 is much smaller, main+side on it is like 31 hours and even full completion is listed as 53 hours, so I will likely do more on 6 than on 5. But then Ishin and 7 are back to huge again, with 45 hours main+side and 125 hours completion on Ishin, and 67 main+side and 102 hours completion on 7.

Started Gotham Knights and thus far it seems to be quite a bit better than the reviews suggest.
30 FPS is still disappointing though. However, most of the time it's really not that noticeable. Nevertheless, I encountered some drops into the low 20s when standing on a building in the rain with a couple of different light effects going on.
