Forums - Gaming Discussion - There's gullible people being scammed in Metaverse, Virtual land $12,000 real money or more

I rather spend $12,000 on a Toyota Celica than Virtual land. Video below somewhere at 3:26 mark. the Metaverse scammed a gullible man

Cute and honest Sega Saturn fan, also noone should buy Sega grrrr, Sega for life. The reason I'm chaotic to few 3rd party developers is because I'm protecting Sega and also I lack skill to get really hot girl I really want. also few devs deserve it for making bad game's personal experiences, looking at Ghost Blade HD the shmup or Fighting EX Layer. My standards are too high for genres I play. KOF 13 > Fighting EX layer gameplay.

I suspect that they are not usually gullible, often they are mentally unwell in many ways. Also, usually it isn't their own money that is stolen, but their parents' money, or a credit card loan, etc...

Unless a person is very rich (in which case *maybe* they are gullible) they don't part with large quantities of money voluntarily. Mind you, I've spent a lot of money on dumb stuff over the years...

People are largely stupid. Not sure what to do about it.

The youtube video is 3 days old he's been watching the scam in play.

They deserve it if they were dumb enough to use it in the first place. Meta is a scam by default for just existing.

You remember Second Life? People were paying thousands of bucks for “virtual land” in that thing.

Many Gen Z and Millenials think bitcoin is going to a million any day now, so they can spend money on stupid things like nft's and the metaverse.

I rather spend $12000 on a photovoltaic system than on a Toyota Celica (or virtual stuff like virtual land, Star Citizen ships or NFTs).

Actually, I have. In 5 - 10 years it pays for itself by reduced energy costs.

There has to be some money laundering in all of this. No way so many people with so much money lose it all in this stuff.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I'd rather take that 12k and have a night with a porn star. At least this way after being fucked over I have something to show for it and be satisfied.
