It was a good week across the board based on the data we have. Well minus PS4 and Xbox One. Expect our PS4 estimates to drop by a decent amount over the coming weeks.

So PS4 won't make it to 600k this year...
Will you remove it with the XB1 by end of the year, or plan to continue updating the sales for it next year too?

If Sony no longer updates the figures this will be it for PS4 for our estimates.

Nice to see the PS5 having its best week this year yet and Europe getting good stock. It's really early but the 2nd half of the year already looks more promising than the 1st.

This weekly series compares the aligned launch sales of the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
It should be noted the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S had a worldwide launch, while the PlayStation 5 launch was split over the course of two weeks. Also, the Nintendo Switch launched in March 2017, while the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S launched during the holidays in November 2020.
PS5 Vs. Xbox Series X|S Vs. Switch Global:
Through the first 89 weeks available worldwide the Nintendo Switch is ahead of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Switch is ahead of the PS5 by 0.34 million units units and is 5.97 million units ahead of the Xbox Series X|S. The PS5 is ahead of the Xbox Series X|S by 5.64 million units.
The Switch has sold 21.95 million in 89 weeks worldwide, while the PS5 sold 21.61 million units and the Xbox Series X|S 15.98 million units.
Looking at the marketshare through 89 weeks, the Switch is in the lead. The Switch has a 36.9 percent marketshare, the PS5 sits at 36.3 percent, and the Xbox Series X|S at 26.8 percent.
PS5 Vs. Xbox Series X|S Vs. Switch US:
Through the first 89 weeks available in the US the PlayStation 5 is ahead of the Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. The PS5 is ahead of the Switch by 0.35 million units and is 0.45 million units ahead of the Xbox Series X|S. The Switch is ahead of the Xbox Series X|S by 0.10 million units.
The PS5 has sold 7.89 million in 89 weeks in the US, while the Switch sold 7.53 million units and the Xbox Series X|S 7.44 million units.
Looking at the marketshare through 89 weeks, the PS5 currently leads. The PS5 has a 34.5 percent marketshare, the Switch sits at 33.0 percent, and the Xbox Series X|S at 32.5 percent.
PS5 Vs. Xbox Series X|S Vs. Switch Europe (88 weeks):
The PlayStation 5 has been available for one week less than the Xbox Series X|S in Europe. After 88 weeks the PS5 is ahead of the Switch by 2.22 million units and is 3.18 million units ahead of the Xbox Series X|S. The Switch is ahead of the Xbox Series X|S by 0.96 million units.
The PS5 has sold 7.82 million in 88 weeks in Europe, while the Switch sold 5.60 million units and the Xbox Series X|S 4.64 million units.
Looking at the marketshare through 88 weeks, the PlayStation 5 currently leads. The PS5 has a 43.3 percent marketshare, the Switch sits at 31.0 percent, and the Xbox Series X|S at 25.7 percent.
PS5 Vs. Xbox Series X|S Vs. Switch Japan:
Through the first 89 weeks available in Japan the Switch is ahead of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S by a wide margin. The Switch is ahead of the PS5 by 3.70 million units and is 5.19 million units ahead of the Xbox Series X|S. The PS5 is ahead of the Xbox Series X|S by 1.49 million units.
The Switch has sold 5.47 million units in 89 weeks in Japan, while the PS5 has sold 1.77 million units, and the Xbox Series X|S 0.28 million units.
Looking at the marketshare through 89 weeks, the Switch currently leads. The Switch has a 72.8 percent marketshare, the PS5 sits at 23.5 percent, and the Xbox Series X|S at 3.7 percent.
