It is nice to see the Xbox be even remotely competitive to Playstation this generation. I could count on one hand the number of weeks the Xbox outsold the Playstation last generation.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

PS5 did pretty well in the Americas this week. Other than that seems like a pretty slow week overall. I don't think May really had any notable software releases.

Surely the Xbox One must be almost depleted by now given they stopped manufacturing it in 2020.

I'm not sure why someone would buy an Xbox One at this point aside from a collector sort of purpose. The Series S is so much better than it for not that much higher of a cost.

I wonder about that myself but then I realize the One S still has one advantage the Series S does not. Physical media. It isnt a half bad 4k bluray movie player and it can still play the disc based games. Add in the fact that Gamepass now offers cloud and you can play Flight Simulator on a One S where you couldnt before.

That's a good point. For physical only people it's between the Xbox One and Series X and that's not as one sided.

PS5 still sits in 3rd overall for the year with roughly 20k separating each platform from the next.

Great to see a Wii Sports successor still flying high 16 years later, after all the shit it got back in the day for being "a fad that nobody will remember in a few years."
