Forums - Gaming - UPDATE: 6 minutes of SONIC FRONTIERS Combat gameplay

Well whatever, I'll say it. I hope Sega does not listen to the fanbase at all and just keeps doing whatever the fuck they want, like they do here with Frontiers. The fans can't be pleased anyway and will always complain no matter what. The fanbase basically just wants the same thing over and over and over and over and over again, only to start complaining about a lack of innovation, simply because the fanbase has no idea what it even wants at all. I think the Sonic fanbase is among the worst fanbases in gaming history. This dude from 5 years ago explains it perfectly:

Five years have passed, nothing has changed. My personal take on Frontiers: I really like the piano music, it's beautiful. The combat looks pretty good for me and I feel like the exploration could be lots of fun. BUT! It's not the same game over and over again, sooooo 1/10.

Side note: Sonic has been kicking enemies since Lost World on the Wii U, I am playing that at the moment and enjoying it quite a lot, in fact even much more than Colours.

So the Horizon developers knowingly ripped off a game they knew nothing about?

They could've changed direction when Breath of The Wild was first teased.

Please make sense of this. Because this “change the game in one year” is rather ludicrous and shows a deep ignorance of how the industry and these high budget games work. So again, what did Horizon Zero Dawn rip off from BOTW? The project was rumoured and teased LONG before BOTW was announced and revealed. And as far as I know, open world action RPG and archery aren’t exclusive to Nintendo and the Zelda team. And what of the robot dinosaurs? That’s ripped of?

You’re just hating in bad faith, and don’t even manage to make any sense in the process.

While the marketing has been rather lackluster (I feel like a proper trailer would've worked better than the extended and somewhat unpolished uncut gameplay they showed instead) the overall concept and IGN's preview still have me cautiously interested in this.

I don't expect it to be a masterpiece, but if they can manage a fun 7/10 game I might grab it to fill in the gaps between games I'm hyped for. Just make sure the Switch version isn't a mess.

I apologize for inserting myself so late in this thread in which someone has surely already said it, but...

I REALLLLLYYYYYY think this needs to be delayed! :P
