Forums - Nintendo - Kotaku Gives New York Times VGChartz Story Creedence

It is completely ridiculous.

I really don't get their point about SSBB's drop. Halo 3 dropped from 2.8 million first week NA to 128,000 week 4. Smash actually did better than that week 4. No one bemoaned Halo 3's 95% drop to week 4. That's because that's what happens with games that have first weeks that are that good. They drop like a stone percentage wise even if they still are selling well (as was the case for both games). I mean, for christs's sake, it's just basic math.

My consoles and the fates they suffered:

Atari 7800 (Sold), Intellivision (Thrown out), Gameboy (Lost), Super Nintendo (Stolen), Super Nintendo (2nd copy) (Thrown out by mother), Nintendo 64 (Still own), Super Nintendo (3rd copy) (Still own), Wii (Sold)

A more detailed history appears on my profile.

It's not Kotaku fault that they don't study the numbers like we do. (I guess it is)

But Zen stop it. I think you have called out every major news outlet of being anti Wii. Please, Kotaku bashes and loves everything.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Kotaku don't talk much sense, the best solution is to ignore them until they lose interest and go away

Hi, i'm solojohlo and i'm pretty fucking awesome

The worst part of the article was saying that declining sales were responsible for bundling at Walmart. That completely blew his credibility apart. Even Wii haters acknowledge that bundling at Walmart is just to get more money from customers, not because of slowing sales.

I saw that one earlier. Not a surprise. Kotaku is always throwing jabs at Nintendo. Last year the PS3 was their favorite punch bag. It is kinda sad the go as far as saying that the article is well argued.

Who wrote the article, I need to send a hate message.

pfffffff
who cares about them

Nintendo third party games are not selling.
Nintendo first party games are not selling.

All those sales must be second party games.

Software totals last week:

Wii: 2,674,304
DS: 1,531,044
X360: 1,116,718
PS3: 876,520
PSP: 627,021

Week before, when Wii had no major games releasing:

Wii: 1,865,352
DS: 1,782,397
X360: 1,329,987
PS3: 1,167,631
PSP: 1,119,812

Looks like Wii software sells fine to me.

That is what is known as end of story.

They buy one less game per year...

The Wii is the only console that comes with a game...

Er.....
