Ryuu96 and the others have mentioned a few attacks from UAV's in the last few days. But can Ukraine increase production of these so that a proper campaign against Russian industry can start?

Trade them in for more Bradleys!

Yeah, future tanks need way better capabilities to defend against attacks from the air or you need more other vehicles with theses capabilities defending them . Right now tanks are already much less useful as some years ago and this will get worse every year. At least modern tanks often save the life of the operators after drone impacts

Western nations need to be investing rapidly into anti-drone technology, I believe that drone warfare is sadly the future, tanks are being taken out by a few thousand $ drones, an entire naval fleet is crippled by drones, etc. It's not like drones are the only important thing but as the technology advances they'll only become more and more deadlier.

Need to be shoving anti-drone technology on board every MBT, IFV, etc.

Two British men have been charged with helping Russian intelligence after a suspected arson attack on a Ukraine-linked business.

Dylan Earl, 20, from Elmesthorpe in Leicestershire, and Jake Reeves, 22, from Croydon, were investigated following a fire at a warehouse in east London in March.

They are the first people charged under the new National Security Act 2023.

This was dumb, always reactive instead of proactive. Russia was bombing Ukraine's energy infrastructure since the start but ATACMS redline could only be removed once Russia used North Korean weapons to bomb Ukraine with. Like...So if Russia never imported North Korean missiles then ATACMS never would have been sent? Okay so since Russia is bombing Ukraine from Russia using North Korean and Iranian weapons then surely Ukraine can use western weapons to bomb Russian territory with, right? nah that's somehow different, Lol.

Several regions in Russia have already raised one-time payments to the new servicemen who signed a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry to 1 million rubles. That's about £9,000 in hand.

In the Krasnodar region, the payment increased from 300 thousand rubles to 1 million from the beginning of 2024 to now.

In other regions, such payments are slightly smaller, starting from 500-600 thousand rubles from regional authorities plus 200 thousand from the federal budget.

As we see, it is increasingly difficult to attract those Russians who are still alive to commit murders in another country. In addition, Russian authorities may be banking on the fact that some may not get paid, payments can be delayed, and if they die, there will be no long-term care for the serviceman.

Obviously, an ordinary Russian will never see that kind of money in his life at work. If we draw a parallel between the minimum wages in Russia and the West, Russian serviceman receives an amount equivalent to £50-100,000 in England just for signing up to the war.

I read it more as retroactive justification rather than how it actually went down at the time.
