If it were up to me, UK would hand over all its Challenger 2's. Fuck we need them for? We're an island, Lol. Nobody is getting to us through Europe, Russia's pathetic Navy wouldn't even get through our austerity riddled Navy and Airforce. Most countries in the West could very easily get by with dumping a majority of their Tanks onto Ukraine to take down Russia. Switzerland is annoying. High horse bullshit, they think if they ignore mass slaughter then it somehow makes them better than anyone else. They're literally surrounded by very powerful NATO allies so there's no defence excuse, Switzerland aren't ever going to send their Tanks to any other country at war with this same stupid logic either. Honestly we should be moving into almost war time production for Ukraine in some aspects. They will lose a lot of tanks, it's expected, but we need to be replacing their losses, tanks are fucking useless against artillery spam but they're needed to get through the first line, which is spammed by artillery, so they're going to lose a lot. |
Well, UK could need them in case UK will fight somewhere else in the future. You never know what will happen in 5 or 10 years. But Switzerland won't do it. There could be pretty much a war between the whole planet and they would do nothing and just be nice to the leaders of the winning countries like "we can still be your place to hide money" It also sucks that the 130 Leopard 1 take so long. Wonder when Ukraine will get them... |
Challenger 3's are only a few years away, lets bring it forward
I honestly don't know what Ukraine has right now, it's hard to keep track of, but I think across Leopard 1/2, Challenger 2's, they're in the 100+ Region. Plus all the Soviet tanks sent and captured. USA's last assessment was very positive about the amount of Tanks/Hardware which Ukraine has in the leak. Don't forget about the APCs as well, or the AFV's. The Bradley is a VERY capable vehicle which is nicknamed a tank killer and USA sent 100+
Unfortunately, we're going to see a lot of losses in this offensive, people should expect a slow grind Kherson offensive until they make a breakthrough, I hope Westerners can remain calm and reasonable and realise this is war, stuff will be lost, it isn't going to waste if it's destroyed, it took America 3 weeks to capture Baghdad and that was with air superiority and an overwhelming ground force, Russia has had time to prepare.
It'll be a slow grind, the tanks aren't going to sit at the back, they will be leading the charge, and tanks are useless against artillery, but on the plus side, all of the tank losses I've seen so far have came with the caveat of the armour saving the lives of the Ukrainians. What we need to do is replace the tank losses. I'm honestly more upset by the Iris-T loss than the Leopard 2 losses.
