I just went to the FIFA website to check the schedule for the World Cup, then I see the top story of the day is that the FIFA boss calls for a ceasefire in Ukraine for the duration of the World Cup. As if giving the WC to Russia (2018) and Qatar wasn't enough already, now the FIFA speaks in favor of Russia's war efforts.

Just imagine there's a guy who thinks a war should stop for a few weeks because of a football tourney. He didn't ask to stop the war, he just thinks it shouldn't happen when his beloved tourney is ongoing. WTF

Fuck Off.

NATO should respond in some manner, I think it should be sending Ukraine all of those weapons that we were reluctant to send them due to "escalating" the situation, we're past that now, Send Ukraine ATACMS (and other long-range missiles), more modern Jets & Tanks, etc.

Wonder if this is for the Lame-Duck Session? Dems lost House so get this approved before Congress changes?

The Ukraine request is massive. An administration official told reporters that it is intended to last through the end of the next fiscal year. Congress has already approved over $60 billion in funding for Ukraine since the start of the war; a fact sheet released Tuesday said that about three-quarters of the funds already approved have been "disbursed or committed." Passing this level of assistance now will allow the White House to delay any fights over future Ukraine funding next year, at a time some Republicans have voiced objections to approving future assistance.

@EpicRandy

Think you mentioned that Biden would do this.

Still, I don't think there's enough insane Republicans in House to block aid but it's smart either way in case there is.

The ridiculousness of everything they say always makes me wonder if they (Russians and especially Russian leadership) actually believe their own BS.

They don't, but firehosing blatant, obvious lies undermines the truth all the same.
