Absolutely believable that people from regions who lost family members, good friends and neighbors from Russia's attacks, those who got their homes and cars destroyed and those who now have to fear to get drafted or to have a father/son/husband to be drafted to Russia's military would vote to 98% pro Russia.

Why do they even try and don't just say that they want to steal land? They know it, we know it and they know that we know it so just say it you idiots.

Probably mostly for internal propaganda purposes, I guess. When they 'annex' those lands, they can start telling their people that they must defend their land from Ukrainian aggression. It will legitimize things technically, and repeating the claim will, at some point, overwhelm the people and make them think Russia really is under aggression. This also gives an excuse to present nuclear threats again to see if they work this time.

Yea but if I would be Russian I would think it's fishy as well and would have the feeling that something has to be manipulated with these illogical high percentages. Something like 78% would definitely sound more believable.  I wouldn't even believe that 98% here in Germany would vote for Germany if they could also vote for giving Germany away to Poland, Turkey or whatever lol.

If you want to sound believable you should never try to exaggerate so much but I guess it doesn't matter in Russia.

I like the pictures of the fully decked out Ukrainians liberating their villages. Must feel bad to be a Russian getting the minimum and have to go to war against them.

What is even the point in that anyway (what the Russians are doing)? What strategic value does Lyman have? Yes, its on a key rail line, but Russia already lost that line when Izyum was liberated. Is it just for propaganda purposes or is there some other value to it that I'm missing. Wait, why am I complaining? Russia, please continue to be dumb.

On the maps above, the more valuable location would appear to be Svatove, which is larger than Lyman and has a major rail line still running through Russian-occupied territory. That place is what I assume will be Ukraine next objective.

Ukraine has about 16 American HIMARS at the moment, I believe that is on top of the few MLRS that both UK and Germany have sent so in total they have around 20+ MLRS.

Hopefully they also have more of those wooden himars made to troll the dopey Russian military ?

5 MARS II from Germany and 3 from UK if I'm Not wrong. But I think 2 from Germany haven't arrived yet.

So 21 already in Ukraine and minimum 40 in the near future

Edit: math fail ? 22 already in Ukraine and minimum 42 in the near future

They don’t even follow the basics to pass this off as free and fair, with Russian and DPR flags all over the poll stations (as propaganda and thus bias inside a polling station is a no-no).

Closest thing to that in the West that I know of was Tower Hamlets council election circa 10 years. That election was voided and re-run for that very reason.

I love how they still put a couple of token "No" votes on the table and then show them as if to say "see, it's all fair and square".
