That's quite a lot of leadership gone!

Though I'm not sure if this means much if the replacements are more modern in mind than the old guard, which was still in old soviet style strategies which were proven to not work...

Europe should counter this with their own maximalist position: Giving back Ukraine all the territories from before 2014 would be the starting point, and if Putin and his cronies don't behave, Ukraine would take everything between the Don and Siverski Donets river, too. Yes, including Rostov-on-Don.

It would be a terrible negotiation strategy, but at least it could lead to some actually useful negotiations when both sides would recognize the situation. Of course that would require us to actually be willing to back Ukraine properly, which we're clearly not.

Don't they still use blocking troops?

using missles now, that plant could be completely leveled.   Lets see how they rebuild that now.  Nobody will want to work there even if they do or they'll have to double wages.  Either way, kick some ass ukraine.

2.    Smolensk Thermal Power Plant located in western Russia is on fire following Ukrainian strikes tonight.

Ukraine seems to be getting modern fighters. The Gripen E is a quite capable and affordable fighter. Much better than the mostly outdated fighters they have gotten so far. Meteor integration is a big win.

And because its somewhat related and we need to laugh in dire times.

Of course the delivery of the bulk of the fighters is expected to take too long to have much effect on the ongoing war, but at least Ukraine should have improved aerial capabilities after the war to protect it against further conflicts.

Saab will start producing them once the war is over, and that's great news since it signals that the EU nations must think that Ukraine will win

What?  The F-16 is old, but it is still better than the shitty-ass Gripen E !!!!!

Hell, it can turn 9Gs (and has been doing so since the 1970s), can the newer Gripen do the same??
