🇺🇸🤔 When asked about Putin's strategy and whether Trump feels the Russian leader is "diluting him," as he suggested in a previous social media post, Trump told reporters he would let them know "in a few days".

Said that last week, and the week before, and the week before, and the week before.

Said that every previous time Russia rejected a ceasefire.

Just admit you're terrified of Putin.

The hitch with that is Russia says the occupied territories are now part of Russia, so it has a loophole.

Yes, but he can't send them further than that, so even if they were pushing forward again, which they would need to to win the war, Russia couldn't send them into battle.

I'm not sure how it's legally considered in Russia, but I believe much of those occupied territories Russia considers its own are actually still under the possession of Ukraine. At this rate, Russia won't have to worry about the legality of using conscripts in attacks in a very long time, I suspect. Now whether using conscripts as carelessly as volunteers is politically sound could be another issue entirely...

There's another difficulty for Putin with the conscripts: People are not fond of the conscripts dying. Unlike Stalin, he can't use them as cannon fodder or Russians would very quickly turn on him. That's why they're stationed in on the borders to countries other than Ukraine and on the northern border of Ukraine: To keep their losses as low s possible. And that's also why they're spending so much to find volunteers for the Russian army, as those have no such restrictions.

Yes, that's what I was referring to with political soundness. But technically he probably can utilize conscripts if he's confident enough it won't cause issues. I guess he won't feel much pressure to do so though as long as there's enough volunteers.

Unfortunately I have zero belief that Russians will ever turn against Putin.

And if they do, it will be because they think Putin isn't killing Ukraine quick enough.

Would you look at that, Western Europe + America got embarrassed once again.

Russia isn't even hiding how much they're spitting in Trump's face and mocking him either, absolutely zero interest in genuine peace, but I guarantee Trump bends over backwards for daddy Putin once again. They're sending the guy who demanded Ukraine give up its sovereignty, they're sending the guy who led the failed peace talks in March and April 2022. Vladimir Medinsky.

Complete slap in the face to Trump and Western Europe by sending a Putin aide who was responsible for the first two failed peace negotiations and demanded Ukraine's total surrender and two deputies, they sent a bunch of nobodies to meet the President of Ukraine because Putin is too cowardly to show up himself.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia is reportedly preparing a delegation for the May 15 talks with Ukraine in Istanbul — though not yet officially confirmed.

Expected delegation:
– Vladimir Medinsky (Putin’s aide, head)
– Mikhail Galuzin (Deputy FM)
– Igor Kostyukov (Chief of GRU)
– Alexander Fomin (Deputy Defense Minister)

❗️“We have a top-level delegation, while the Russian one looks more like a mock-up,” – Zelensky.

“We’ll see whether they even have a mandate to make decisions. After my meeting with Erdoğan, we’ll reassess the format.”

It's a fucking joke, Putin is just openly mocking us all, openly trolling America and Europe. But the thing is, we know Putin doesn't care about peace but clearly peace isn't important enough to Trump either considering the sack of orange shit couldn't even be bothered to show up as soon as he heard daddy Putin wasn't attending.

We walked right into this mockery, we should have slapped massive sanctions on them and military aid deliveries on Ukraine right on the date they rejected the ceasefire on May 13th, Putin is trolling the shit out of us all and we keep saying "Lets give him more time" oh I'm sure he's terrified of time. Maybe at the end of these meetings we'll say "Hey, they'll be another meeting in 6 months from now, lets see how that goes!"

Ukraine had to make the best out of a bad situation by accepting the meeting, I think they played it well by sending Zelenskyy, knowing that Putin wouldn't show up it shows that Russia is not serious about peace, Ukraine sends their head of state and Russia sends some irrelevant deputies and a failed negotiator. I'm angry at Europe for dragging their feet and saying "Okay, he rejected the ceasefire but lets see how these negotiations go and then if they fail we will do big bad scary things we promise for the 50th time"

Asked if he’s disappointed Putin isn’t going to Turkey, Trump launches into an unclear word salad.

What is this man even saying?

"Uhhh no, I didn't anticipate, I actually said why would he go if I am not going. Cause I wasn't going to go. But I wasnt planning to, but I would go....."

Europe...TRUMP IS NEVER GOING TO GO AGAINST PUTIN! IT IS NEVER HAPPENING! HE IS TERRIFIED OF HIM!

Last edited by Ryuu96 - on 15 May 2025

So basically Trump's defence is that it is understandable that Putin didn't go because Trump didn't go, Lmfao.

I'm sorry, if this not a war between Ukraine and Russia? Did you not say you would stay out of it and they need to negotiate between each other?

This dude is such a fucking pathetic sack of shit, I thought Biden was spineless, fucking Christ this dude is an embarrassment, it's like we're watching him act out his public embarrassment kink/fetish with how many times he has accepted Putin openly spit in his face and trolling him, how many times he has pathetically accepted Putin rejecting his ceasefire proposals and then he rushes to make excuses for him, fucking hell bring back Biden and Jake Sullivans escalation management! LOL.

Don't even think Ukraine's team should bother meeting Russia's team, it will legitimise this sham and legitimise the pathetic team that Putin has sent. Think Zelenskyy should just say that he arrived, as the Head of Ukraine, with the power to make decisions on behalf of Ukraine, meanwhile Putin couldn't even be bothered to show up and instead sent a bunch of irrelevant nobodies with no power to make decisions for Russia, it shows that Putin has zero interest in peace, it shows that Putin doesn't think peace is serious enough for him to show his face, he can't be bothered to show up to try and stop the bloodshed.

America will blame Ukraine either way so might as well not waste their time on this sham.
