I get the feeling this was both a trap to use an excuse to cut aid off to Ukraine by goading Zelenskyy but also to try to force regime change in Ukraine, for example, they will want to paint Zelenskyy as the unreasonable party, they goaded him into a conflict and they will now blame him for messing things up and losing American support, they will try to turn Ukrainian politicians against him, say he is not fit to lead and has to step down if Ukraine wants America's continued support, they want someone unlike Zelenskyy, would cave to their demands and surrender to Russia.

I do believe this pathetic display will only increase Zelenskyy's approval rating in Ukraine though and make Ukraine even more patriotic.

Immediately confirmed my suspicions, Lindsey Graham is calling for Zelenskyy to resign.

Plus this spineless sack of shit.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s body language during the Trump-Zelensky Oval Office blowup vs. his tweet afterward

Flashbacks of the Oslo accords keep coming to mind. This is history repeating.

Regime change (How the puppet PA was created), demanding concessions and overall painting the oppressed as the unreasonable party.

Zelenskyy do not listen to the US, do not let them carve up your country and take your mineral rights. Strengthen bonds with the EU instead.

Disgusted how trump attacked him, made him feel like a dog that attacked his owner.

Americans should be ashamed to have a president like trump.

America's support seems completely done at this stage, they wanted an excuse and they got it, this decision literally hurts only innocent Ukrainian civilians so I don't imagine Ukraine military receiving aid anymore, likely not even intel sharing.

Trust me, dude, I am. Trump and Vance are sentient pig excrement.

Disappointing to see.

Zelenskyy asked a crucial question: What happens if Putin breaks his word and doesn’t honor the deal? Over the past few days, Trump has consistently dodged giving a proper answer. Instead, he keeps insisting that he doesn’t believe Putin will break the deal—but that’s hardly reassuring. Zelenskyy needs something far more concrete, especially after previous security guarantees amounted to nothing.

Trump often points out that Putin didn’t invade Ukraine during Trumps first term, implying that this means Putin wouldn’t attack during a second term either. But even if you give Trump the benefit of the doubt on that, he’ll be gone in four years. Then what? Does Putin just wait and attack again?

For Trump to sit there and tell Zelenskyy he should be grateful is mind-boggling. I’m sure Zelenskyy appreciates the support from the American people and the previous administration, but without solid security guarantees the current so-called "peace deal" strikes me as an attempt to strip Ukraine of its wealth under the guise of peace. Trump essentially told Zelenskyy to accept the deal—or else the U.S. is pulling out. Zelenskyy is supposed to be grateful for that?! So much for the leader of the free world.
