14: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

You guys cleaned up my hints nicely, so they are all guessed. Time to move on to a #13 then.

#13: This game features an item of which sound and use are the same as in another game from another series featuring the same item.

#23 This game was originally going to release with an entire province the player could explore but was cut and instead took place on an island within the province.

Hint #2 The setting is very unique compared to most games in the same genre.

Hint #3 You can use magic items and spells that let you super jump, levitate, and fall slower.

#21 In this game you can fly around space and land on various moons.

Hint #2 In this game you have a special pair of boots that make traversal easier.

Hint #3 There are puzzles in which you record yourself then replay the old versions of yourself to open a door.

#17: Splatoon 2

I wonder what went on in their heads when they came up with this idea. The Splatoon game's conecpt is incredibly weird and brilliant at the same time. Not unusual for Nintendo. "What if squids shoot ink at each other in a shooter?" I haven't played the first Splatoon. I got Splatoon 2 in 2020 and since then put in about 150 hours into the game.

It's incredibly fun, more than I expected it to be. Probably wouldn't have gotten it if it wasn't for that demo they had put out for a limited time last year. The different online modes are all incredibly varied and fun with the standard turf wars being the most enjoyable. The one with the tower is my second favorite. The matches seem generally well balanced. That PvE mode where you gather eggs together with other players is a nice diversion from the PvP modes.

Despite what they say this isn't actually completely a shooter because some of the weapons aren't actual guns but buckets and rollers. Yeah, they went all in with the weapon types. There are a whole lot and with each of them the way you play changes up quite a bit. They all have secondary weapons like grenades and other things. Another interesting aspect of the Splatoon games are the clothes. There is an endless array of clothes. They all can get a few upgrades like faster movement on the enemy's ink for example. The large number of arenas are generally well designed.

The single player is the weaker part of the game but still plenty of fun, not to long either otherwise it might have become boring. The levels are like parcour sometimes quite challenging nearer to the end but mostly rather easy. The bosses are very creatively designed and fun to fight. The final boss is the best. The story is almost non-existant abd only there to give a reason for why you're doing what you're doing.

Splatoon 2 is the result of a stroke of genius. An incredibly fun experience.

#17 - The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap - GameBoy Advance

This Zelda spot I could easily give to either this, Ocarina of Time, or Majora's Mask, I replayed Minish Cap recently, and I don't have more than 50 slots so is your turn.

I could say that this is like a Majora's Mask lite without the time limit, is a game that features 4 main dungeons, the 4th one also funnily enough one that I can consider among the best in the franchise, combined with a heavy reliance on side activities to fill out the rest of the adventure, the kinstone system itself is a bit more clunky, due to the ramdomization of which pieces you get, but the result itself is incredibly satisfactory, new treasures, a change in the environment, smaller new areas, upgrades to your arsenal, so much as to make the light arrows a really nice reward if you took the time to fuse specific kinstones in the early game, once you look back at the world filled out, is pretty cool, the characters and music is a mix of both familiar and new, the Minish as a new species are great, a really good original villian with Vaati, and good banter with an interesting companion in Ezlo, before Twilight Princess was a thing.

And the Minish Village will be forever in mind as one of my favorite themes ever.

21 is absolutely Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time!

Interestng hint for either my #1 or #2 (I'm going to play both games before the end of the year to determine which I actually like better):

- My record for beating the optional superboss without the optional super weapon for the main character is level 17. I've seen people do it at a lower level but I can only just barely do it at level 17 as it is.
