With RE8 being past the "honeymoon" period, where would you rank it among the series releases?

For me it would be:

1. Resident Evil 4 (my favorite game of all time)

2. Resident Evil: Code Veronica

3. Resident Evil Viii

4. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (PS One)

6. Resident Evil Vii

5. Resident Evil 5

6. Resident Evil Remake

7. Resident Evil (PS One)

8. Resident Evil Revelations 2

I havent played Resident 6; Resident Evil 2 Remake; Resident Evil 3 Remake; Resident Evil 0; Resident Evil 2 (PS One) and Resident Evil Revelations.

No love for RE? Or are the forums here really that dead.

Havent gotten to 3-6 yet or any of the spinoffs but of the ones I’ve played

You're in for a treat with RE4. The pacing is fantastic.

Never played 6 or 8 and I beat all the above with the exception of code veronica, just got so bored with it. Tried playing through it two different times. Also, didnt care for 0 ether but still pushed through and beat it. Doubt i will ever play it again. RE4 i beat so many times, easily 6+ times. 7 for me was so intense and a direction the series needed to go in, loved it!!

RE8 left a mixed taste in my mouth at launch and I can't say a few months has done much to change it.

Seems you started with quite possibly the worst mainline entry of the series.

I would quit too if I only tried RE6 - worst mainline entry by far.
