Also, to callback to the OP, the Hunter necromorph from Dead Space 1 is an especially scary member of an already scary bunch.

The way he can regenerate and keep coming unstoppably after you make the sequences where you encounter him a terrifying experience as you try to hold him off long enough to escape or find a way to neutralize him.

The Hunter is also terrifying. Anything that relates to the Necromorph is simply not something you want to see. The designers behind it know exactly what you hate to see and the Hunter is a prime example.
