What about them do you not like?

Because according to the rumors/leaks the RE game for Switch, Outrage, is going to be third person and a continuation of the Revelations games.

My main issue is the lack of zombies. I also don't like 4/5 for the same reason. I don't really want a "horror" game, I just want a zombie game. Haven't really enjoyed an RE game that much since they left Raccoon city and I don't see that changing any time soon. I also don't really like the 1st person perspective, although I can deal with that, I mean I love Dying Light and that's 1st person, but it's also an excellent zombie game which RE hasn't been for ages.

Have you played Days Gone? Pretty much a full zombie game.

Disappointed to see RE7/Village doing so well. Looks like the franchise is going to keep going down a route that I'm not interested in. Honestly would prefer more games like RE6 than those two, and 6 wasn't really good.

I'm more disappointed at seeing RE5 and 6 at 7.9 million, those games were awful. Granted, I haven't played 7 and 8 yet, so I can't comment on their quality, but they at least look like a return to putting atmosphere and actual horror over mindless wannabe-COD action sequences.

eh, to me RE6 is better than 4, 5, 7 & Village. So I don't mind seeing it there that much.

Man, I couldn't stand 6, from the constant annoying quicktime events to the shallow, tacky over the top action, to the total lack of atmosphere or horror, I couldn't even stand playing it all the way through. I'm so glad the series did not keep going down that path.

RE6 isn't even a real horror game. Resident Evil is about horror, not action. You seem to just like zombie action more.

Monster hunter stories 2 is the first monster hunter game I could ever get into, I am loving the heck out of it...

It has quickly become my second favorite Nintendo switch game (behined rune factory 4)
Really hope the game continues on

Yeah, I don't like "real horror games". That's why I don't like RE 7. To me RE has never been about horror, it's about a zombie outbreak in a small city caused by scientists. You can disagree all you want but as far as I'm concerned there hasn't been a "real" RE game since #3.

In concept, RE was designed as an horror game, we can clearly see they used to give you few ammunition and force you to shot and run (and hide). The original games have very slow zombies, but the spaces were cluttered and narrow, so your experience was not only claustrophobic, but become harder to avoid zombies all the time. There was a big focus on puzzles, exploration and resource management, because the game was all about surviving rather than killing

So even if you don't care for the horror/survival aspects, doesn't change the fact the game was originally build around them. To say there isn't a "real" RE game after 3 is a stretch, if anything 5 and 6 are the ones more distant from the original games

Revelations broke a million just on the Switch? I'm shocked.

So am I considering how the physical copy of the collection was butchered

From what I understand is that Capcom is going in trilogy style formula for resident evil games/

1st Trilogy Resident Evil 1-3
2nd Trilogy Resident Evil 4-6
3rd Trilogy Resident Evil 7-9

I think 9 is also supposed to be firsrt person style. What happens after that no one knows. Maybe open world?

God I hope so badly that the rumors are true about Resident Evil Outrage. It's almost become what "Monster Hunter Switch" was for years up until the announcement of Rise; that mystery Capcom game often talked about, much desired, but largely up in the air.

What rumours?.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
