Forums - General Discussion - The post when you're high thread.

Tonight's high may be alcohol related, but also euphoria inspired.  I'll make up for it later.

Not marijuana related(none taken)(I can make up for it later).  First day of my official retirement and my mind refuses to relax.  This is probably one of the most highest experiences I've ever had.  The alcohol I've consumed is only so I can sleep.  I have a 3 hour drive tomorrow to a High School Marching Band competition, and duh...3 hours back.  And about 10 hours in between if they perform well.

I only got 3 hours of sleep last night(and I have been non-stop all day). I'm not driving, so hopefully if I need it, I'll conk out on the way over there.

I guess ban me if you must.

You know the best thing about being high and posting?
When you post a whole lot of shit across several forums… and don’t remember what and where you posted!
It’s like a magical Christmas surprise….
Except on those forums that queue up notifications good and evil, so if you got 2275 upvotes, it could easily be 2275 downvotes….. and you don’t know until you click! Because being high pushes you to want to post yourself, bad to learn, but good to touch these fucking no numbers, and it’s because

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The day begun with a mission (high priority chore). 270 miles trek through a whole bunch of desert (an unmentionable uneventful nothingness). Somewhere in the middle I came upon a mare willing to carry me into the depths of all hells.  Eight hours later and her only desire is to run free.

Getting high while you're trying to lose weight is the worst. I have a terminal case of the munchies and am fighting it with all I got ;_;

I went out with some friends from my early 20’s. My bf and me kept sneaking hits off her vape. It was fun but I definitely prefer almost any other method to vaping. I always have ridiculous coughing afterward.

I don't like oil vapes. But I do have a dry herb vaporizer. Just uses flower. It's amazing, and I want to use it.

But right now I'm actually on edibles. And I ususally think all the labels and nonsense are bullshit. Like, high is high and weed is weed. But, this was advertised as energizing... and damn if I don't feel energize. Like not go work out energized, but more like, OMG THIS VIDEOGAMES IS GOING TO BE SO FUN kind of energized. Just very enthusiastic about everything.

I struggle with the same thing. What hepls me immensly, is preparing my toothbrush with toothpaste in, putting it right at the sink in the bathroom. As soon as I come back inside, I brush my teeth. And then I don't want to sully my freshly brushed teeth with sugar.

Now is Christmas though, so I don't know how things will go. Normally it helps.

3 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin), 2 finely diced white onions(medium) and 5 finely diced jalapeños(seeds removed), lightly salted in a giant 13.5 quart pan, set to medium high for 8 minutes

after the 8 minutes I threw in 10 minced garlic cloves and stirred for 3 minutes until aromas started to fill the space

Then I added a 6 oz. can of tomato paste and stirred very well all together to make this thick mass that I cooked for 3 minutes until it became a darker red color

I then added 5 pounds of lean ground beef and 2 tablespoons of chili powder and 1 tablespoon of salt (chili powder not pictured). I was sure to mix the meat with what I had very well.

This is what it looked like after stirring, and I cooked this for just 5 minutes (careful not to brown or cook too much, just enough to lock in flavor to the meat)

Next I added 32 oz. beef broth, 2 largely diced green bell peppers, 3 more tablespoons of chili powder, 1 tablespoon paprika, 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, half a teaspoon of onion powder, 1 tablespoon of dried oregano, 1 1/2 tablespoons of finely ground cumin, 1/2 a teaspoon of cayenne pepper,

2 cans 14.5 oz crushed tomatoes

1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes

4 cans 14.5 oz fully rinsed red kidney beans

Now from this point I brought it up to a full boil and then reduced heat down to medium to stew for an 1 hour and 10 minutes.  Uncovered for the first 55 minutes to allow for thickening.

I would stir once every 10 minutes and did add a little more salt for my personal preference.

Covered for the final 15 minutes to make sure it was nice and steaming hot.

Turned off heat and let sit for 3 minutes before serving with shredded sharp cheddar on top.

All the while in the background I have 100 of the greatest all-time opera pieces cranked up to ungodly levels. (The most important ingredient is the love)

Just now finished eating 2 1/2 bowls of this really good chili, yummy yum yum,

Plenty left over to be reused in the following days for tomorrow's oven-baked frito pies, and Sunday's chili dogs using Johnsons brats.

That looks great, if you're not from Texas, i'm going to pronounce you as an honorary Texan just because of this skillet sensation
