I took a look at the Wikipedia article with a list of the best selling Switch games and added together all first-party games.

296.68 million, because some numbers aren't up to date and some games like Fire Emblem Warriors aren't there I added an additional 10 million. The latest reported number for total software sales, excluding digital only games, is 587.12 million. 

587.12 - 306.68 = 280.44 million third-party software, which includes games that are published by Nintendo, but still actually third-party like Fitness Boxing.

That's 47.76% third-party software. Doesn't sound to terrible to me.

Well we all have our peccadilloes, but I want to know where the 6 figure cash prizes are coming from since money and VGChartz staff don't go together, I just hope ioi hasn't talked you into supplying kittens rescued from burning buildings with the promise of sharing the revenue from Trucks centrefolds, because if that's true you shall be condemned to live in the dark grimey world of kitten cuddling till the day you wake up alone in the middle of the night in a cold sweat with the shock realisation that last kitten you cuddled was actually a cat.

the article’s gone now (edit: it doesnt seem so, the link just wont work). i remember reading one of ryuzaki’s blogs couple of years ago, where he trashed some beloved and succesful nintendo franchises. Calling Xenoblade franchise mediocre and was salty because some ppls ranked Xenoblade as one of the best jrpgs.

And it is among the best. Series is easily better than FF has been the last 20 years. Sounds like this dude the Colin Moriarty of VGChartz. Now the question is can you find an article of his claiming Vita was set to succeed and 3DS is Doomed! :P

Depends on what's you taste in games. It's hard to recommend some games when one doesn't know what kind of games that person likes to play.

For instance, I absolutely hate 3D Jump&Run, so Super Mario Odyssey could be a perfect game, it still wouldn't be for good me.

Totally missed this article, but Ryuzaki57 is known to strongly dislike Nintendo and has posted hit and run "troll" articles before. This time he is nowhere to be found again when people are confronting him with his blatant misinformation.

Weird that he can just post articles without an editor proofreading it first. On the other hand, who goes to VGChartz for the articles?

After seeing the name, the article and the response thread made sense. At least quite entertaining.

On the other hand, this is probably one of VGchartz most successful articles ever, so he will get a good commission for all the views and Vgchartz would probably encourage more articles like it.

So I don't know who knows this but John Vignocchi is in charge of 3rd party relations at Nintendo of America. Some might know that name and others don't. He worked at Midway for years and Disney with Disney Infinity. Gearbox and more. Also best friends with Adam Boyes formerly of Sony and currently Iron Galaxy. JV has a lot of connections with third parties and one of the best you can get. He's also like this.
