All Time Thread

I'm trying to make these threads cleaner and easier to read as well as get more accurate data by doing Survey Monkey (because unlike VGChartz, they allow for more than 10 options in voting). A reminder this has to do with software only and who developed said software.

Please vote on which developer/owner of developer(s) had the best showings of games. These include any and all third party and second party developers. I will NOT be including exclusive games under the company whose device they released on as the point of all this is to see which developer/owner of developer(s) has had the best E3 each year, regardless of if they own the hardware or not. If a developer was independent during this E3 showing, or the company was partially owned by someone else but still made the game, then they receive the credit. If they were owned by another company 100%, or if they are a second party developer exclusively making games for one platform, then the company owing them or receiving all their games receives the credit for the game.

To clarify with a hypothetical example: As long as the studio is independent (such as Platinum), then their games will count towards their own presentation and not the hardware company. Rare is a weird situation as Nintendo only ever owned 49% of their stock, making them a second party studio, until Microsoft bought them. Because of this, they will remain separate during the years they were not 100% owned by anyone.

Below is a list of any games announced/shown I could find. If I’ve missed something, or I have put something in the wrong area or gave credit to the wrong company, it is UNINTENTIONAL. I spend a lot of time clicking almost every game link and their developers to read through the history. Please forgive me and I will make the changes as soon as possible after you kindly point it out to me. Thanks and have fun with the voting!

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but EA won this E3 for me lol. I did NOT expect that haha.

So far we have a three-way split between SEGA, Nintendo, and EA. Keep the votes coming!

SEGA easily. Skies of Arcadia alone let alone Panzer Dragoon Saga,Shenmue II and Shinobi. Shinobi is one of the best action games that generation.

I've sadly never played any of these games :(

I voted for EA, partially because if they didn't win this year, when did they? Not to mention that between C&C, SimCity 4, Need for Speed, Medal of Honor, and the golden age of EA Sports, it really was a good showing for them.

Love and tolerate.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Their sports games really were fun at one point. Medal of Honor Frontline is probably my favorite historic shooter game ever, such a great story and local multiplayer.

I was thinking that 2002 seemed like a poor year, and then EA came with a fairly good lineup. That was actually quite good.

Yeah I was as a whole fairly unimpressed with the year.

Nintendo, because they showcased some of my favorites there.

Such as? Now I'd like to know.
