Ori definitly, yes. And didn't say Doom was best on Switch, but Gyro aiming is def better than playing with sticks.

But he isn't only talking about XGS titles, he made that clear in the initial post, Lol. |
I know, I already answered to that, why are you repeating this ? He's not only talking about XGS games, but if XGS games are a part of his argument, I was wondering what are those games which are strong enough to be a part of his reasons.
If I'd say "I love Game Pass cause I like to play Forza games, and Mario games" you'd be like "what Mario game ?" and I'd be like "I'm not only talking about Mario dude, I thought it was clear"
I am mixed. Never liked paywalls in games or locked services like Multiplayer.
However i have seen the benefits to the brands applying them, example: production value of 1st party games have increased, more studio acquisitions and more customer friendly features being added. Clearly the companies profiting on them, are reinvesting back into the brands.

You didn’t really answer to it though. You’re harping on the XGS side of the argument, even though he already answered to it. But for him Halo Infinite and Horizon 4 might be big enough XGS games to satisfy him and then there are still tons of other A/AA/AAA titles that GamePass offers.
Also regarding Ori you’re free to believe a lower resolution and higher frame rate fluctuation plus portability is better than 4k/6k and 60/120fps but that doesn’t negate the fact that it’s an incredible game available on GamePass.
| Ryuu96 said: Better comparison, if I said Switch has good value because of all the current exclusives and the upcoming exclusives will add to that value, would you be responding the same way you are here? Focusing solely on the last part of that argument to try to refute that Switch isn't in fact good value. |
That's not what I did.
| Ryuu96 said: Like here where you are basically suggesting he can't say Game Pass is insane value if he knows nothing about some upcoming XGS titles, which isn't his only argument for GP being insane value, not to mention his hundreds of titles already in Game Pass argument includes 1st parties too. |
No, that's def not what I am saying, nor suggesting, that's solely on how you want to see what I am saying.
He says "the current games and the upcoming titles = insane value". I am like "so you know nothing about those games, but they're still one of the reasons (not sole reason, don't make assumptions again) why you believe they're bringing insane value to the GP"
Do you see my point ? He can say whatever he wants, but I don't now how this specific point can be one reason.
He may be in love with the logo, I don't care, cause at least we all know what the logo looks like.

Because the XGS argument is the one I am curious about. He's free to find appealing the current games on the service, good for him. I don't, but that's my problem.
Well if you can play Ori on a 6k tv at 120fps, I am more curious about where do you find such tv in an afordable price.

"So it's already an insane value even if you know pretty much nothing about those games?" You're very clearly trying to refute his argument about it being insane value using half of his argument, Lol. |
No, that's the other way round, I don't refute his argument being insane value, I am questionning its argument saying the upcoming games are one reason.

If it's undisputed, then why are so many people disputing it.
curl-6 bet me that PS5 + X|S sales would reach 56m before year end 2023 and he was right.
My Bet With curl-6

Quote tree got fucked up. But alright, so is Game Pass insane value for him? |
I guess so. For me too actually, but I wouldn't count on MS First party.

Because they are people, not facts
I don't know which is more hilarious to me in this thread. The people trying to agrue that gamepass is objectively overrated because for whatever reason they want it to fail, or the people on the other side that act like a set of games that we have not seen gameplay for are somehow guaranteed to be blockbusters (I remain optimistic myself, but still).
Bottom line is that based on the 400+ games available, the value is insane for anyone that utilizes the service. You may not like it, or it may not be for you...but it is an undeniable fact. As I said in another post, the value of the games I have played on my gamepass sub since Nov has already paid for itself for over two years (4 years of you include my Son's X1 that he plays on with the same sub). I have also learned that a lot of X1 1st party games are actually better than a lot of people want to give credit for. Also since then, there have been a few day 1 new games from 3rd parties as well as a few that were only a few months old. Now you can argue if you would enjoy those games or not, but at the end of the day those are full price games adding to that value. Many people enjoy being able to play those games without the need to pay full price for something they might not like, then buy at a discount if they like it enough.
There is no point for list war arguments surrounding the service, be it to downplay or boast the service. You have to be either blind or willfully ignorant to not see the value behind gamepass. You also have to be pretty damn hard headed to think that the service is for everyone, because not everyone will be able to take full advantage of the value it has to offer. And that is all I really have to say on the matter. It either is for you or it isn't, and that is fine. But the overall great value is still there either way.

At the 'other side', we got a console for Christmas when we were young and only one or two games to play at first. So we all played together as a family, taking turns, having fun together. |
A lot of generalizing in this statement. It's not like there isn't games with split-screen available on Game Pass or prevents people from taking turns. I played Sea of Thieves with my girlfriend and her brothers not long ago. Two of us were playing on console and two from PC. One of us could have been playing via Xcloud if we needed to as well. It's really nice to have these kinds of options available.
