What do you think was the PS3's best year (in terms of games) and what made it the best?

2009. The year when Sony turned things around for PS3. PS3 slim launch and some of the best exclusives (Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Infamous).

2009.

Never seen a comeback like they did in the same generation after the atrocious start they had.

The Ps3 almost put Sony out of the gaming business but after that year they back to stay for good.

2017.

2016 if you're Japanese.

Top 3 were 2009, 2011 and 2013. But if i would choose one then it would be 2011 for the exclusives.

They were all nicely laid out and spaced in 2011 and filled the year from start to finish perfectly.

This is a tough one! 2009 and 2010 were both spectacular years....

In 2009.. We had Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls, Infamous, Killzone 2, Batman Arkam Asylum, Bayonetta.

In 2010.. God of War 3, Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain, Grand Turismo 5, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Vanquish, Battlefield Bad Company 2.

I think in terms of output 2010 probably edges it out. Which is the same year as my favourite year for games for the 360, funnily enough

Don't know. The games I like were kind of evenly spread through the PS3's lifetime.

2013 for me the last of us + grand theft auto v + tomb raider 2013 + gran turismo 6

i'm torn between 2008 and 2009 but i'd say 2009 because it felt like the year the PS3 found its proper footing and started releasing consistently great games alongside the slim revision and better marketing w things like the kevin butler ad campaign. it already had some the previous year like LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, Playstation Home, etc but this felt like where they really went on a roll and didn't stop with them and had a clear vision of what they wanted to be.

tons of variety and all those games ended up being great. good times. 

Got my PS3 in 2008 for mgs4 and...I kinda regretted the purchase.

In 2009, everything seemed to turn around. I wasn't as crazy about the franchises as a lot of people but it did become an awesome investment around that time, especially with uncharted 2.
