So, all three new gen systems have sold nearly 700K units? That must make the analysts who foretold the death of consoles in 2012 ashamed (at least it should).

You think PS5 will reach 20m LT sales by the end of the year? |
Nope, I didn't say that.

It's crazy to think how a couple years ago it seemed outlandish to many for the Switch to be set to outsell the Switch,. Now we are talking about the Switch being in the range of the DS. |
Another cool thing worth noting is that the Switch has also passed 30 million units sold in the North America (NA) region. Becoming just the 11th system to do it and fast approaching the #10 system on that list, the Xbox One, which sits at a little over 32 million units.

So... you believe Switch which sold 28m units last year, is currently up 56% YoY, will sell less than 20m units this year?
What are PS4's aligned EU sales compared to the Switch's?

I didn't say that either. Did you read my original post ?

Since no one seems to be getting this, I'll say what I understood: you're stating that Switch in 2021 alone has a chance to outsell the Xbox Series lifetime, is that correct? If so, I disagree, but that's okay.
I'm mostly a lurker now.

Out of everyone here that's read it, I'm pretty sure you're the only one that still believes it makes any sense. You're welcome to explain it of course, as both my replies were actual questions you still haven't bothered to answer.

If so, it's even more incorrect as Xbox Series is currently outpacing Xbox One launch-aligned and I don't think Switch is going to sell 50m+ units this year alone.

I thought that on my initial read, but given his recent reply I think he meant the current 2021 sales of the switch (3,322,132) are soon to catch up to XB Series LTD (3,837,426)... it should pass it in 2 weeks.
Although him saying "Not the PS5" seems odd... as Switch 2021 is on track to pass PS5 LTD in 3-4 months. (if it outsells PS4 by 150-200k per week it will take 12-17 weeks).
