Cloverfield 2008.
But I finished it, idk what to watch

That one, IMO, was the best of the franchise simply based on how different it was with the camera and found footage angle.

The second film is good for what it is, but it’s a fairly standard Twilight Zone style film… or very similar to plenty of other episodes/shows out there in the same genre. Apocalyptic science fiction featuring absurd amounts of conflict and a good cast are about a dime a dozen these days. For what it’s worth, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Goodman were both quite good in the film. But the film released in 2016, the same year Black Mirror season 3 and Stranger Things hit Netflix.

The third film, which takes place on a spaceship, feels even less unique - and you kind of have to ignore the out of nowhere ending. Also, the third film (Paradox) feels under-budgeted compared to modern space-based TV shows.

They’re only loosely connected, and what connections there are feel contrived.

Maybe watch the new Godzilla/Kong universe films… which also have John Goodman. There’s also a TV shows set in the same universe which features Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt Russell (who also appeared in Black Mirror season 3).

Sonic the Hedgehog 3!! It was great!

Just watch all 7 episodes of Squid Game 2. It was really good. Not quite on the level of the first since it was so fresh then, but still very good stuff. I like several of the new characters. This is how you write actual characters. One of my favorite is the trans person. Instead of the cardboard cutout activist in disguise like Dragon Age: Veilguard, its an actual likeable person with depth. Love her. Also the main guy and the old mother are excellent. Some shocking moments. Some funny and some very sad. Im really looking forward to the final season. Highly recommended.

Saw Red One. Dumb, like I thought it would be, but in an actually endearing way.

I got a kick out of seeing Park Sung-hoon play that role after his roles in Glory and Queen of Tears. I think he was starting to inadvertantly build a negative image simply because of his characters, so it was a good change of pace.

Watching Packers V Vikings because I wanna hang out with my parents even though I don't care about football.

I watched Squid Game season 2, ending was frustrating. it had some really great moments but definitely isn't as good as season 1 was.

Just finished the second episode of Dune: Prophecy. So far it's pretty good. I'm intrigued.

Better than the 1984 Dune at least, right?

Just came back from Sonic 3. It was pretty good, but I think it was the weakest of the three and the last one I will care about. I do watch all english speaking live action video game movies, so I have to watch 4(probably just on Netflix), but I felt like this would have been a great ending to a solid trilogy. But Hollywood will Hollywood...
