How does the voting work?

Now, I've played both of them. And based on what I've seen, from the reactions on social media and playing the games myself, it looks more like the majority of those votes for Ghost of Tsushima weren't because it was actually THAT good, but because they were just THAT butthurt of Last of Us 2.

I'm not sure I think there's a website

Perfect Dark, that's bout it.
Had I known it would have been the only announcement I'd care for... Would have left after it dropped.
Still worth.

You can vote on the Game Awards website, but they reserved the rights to the show runners to decide who gets the award, so user votes sre pointless.

More info on Mass Effect. N7 debris confirms full sequel. (I'll take what I can get without going to leaks/spoilers)
As a fan of the series, hell yes!

Are you cautiously optimistic?

For all awards except for People's choice, there is a jury of voters made up of gaming critics, and then they also take in audience votes for them. It's weighted 90% critic, 10% audience though, so the audience gets barely any say on these awards with only 10% voting power. Basically whatever the critics like wins. And a ton of gaming critics lean in a certain direction politically.... The audience wanted Tsushima to win, which was why it won people's choice, but the critics adore TLOU 2. |
A 90-10 split... Jesus...
Should be more balanced than that. I think the critics should have the bigger slice but 90-10 makes the voting system virtually pointless.
