Forums - Gaming Discussion - Digital Foundry - NBA 2K face-off

PS5 & Series X 4k native.
Series S 1080p native.
PS4 Pro native 4k with visual downgrades.
Same visual fidelity between PS5 and Series S|X.
Gameplay 60fps / Cutscenes 30fps.
PS5 flawless 60fps.
Series S flawless 60fps except for the parametric camera option where there is bigger dips.
Seires X has single frame drops plus bigger dips in parametric camera option.

TLDR: PS5 have a small margin victory here, and the visuals are much more impressive than when I saw on the reveal.

Where are all the whiners complaining about Digital Foundry having a bias toward Microsoft.

DonFerrari if you're going to quote Digital Foundry don't butcher what is being said.

DonFerrari version "Seires X has single frame drops plus bigger dips in parametric camera option."
Digital Foundry: "Xbox Series X is a nice perfect 60 fps experience with occasional single frame drops here and there" "Parametric camera will suffer minor frame drop when viewed from a specific angle"

Again great job from Digital Foundry and seem like Xbox Series X still as some minor optimization issues that need to be fix.

Flawless 60 on PS5.... even if it doesnt really matter (if its so rarely you can push the XSX below 60), is nice.
This is like the tiniest of victories ever, its a another tie.

Still its crazy how close the two systems appear to run games, considering the XSX has more CU's and Tflops.

I didn't quote them, I put a summary that someone gave.

Just look at the TLDR version, both versions are very much equal with PS5 having a minor advantage, that yes if you don't use that camera mode it doesn't even matter (seems like only people that play that carreer that you get stuck with a single char uses this camera).

In practice, its a tie. Down to raw numbers, PS5 slim lead. No two ways about this one.

Yep, very slim and for all pratical means basically meaningless.

Perfect:
- having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be.
- make (something) completely free from faults or defects, or as close to such a condition as possible.

There's your bias :p Calling something perfect when it's not.

Although perhaps they said near perfect, nice perfect sounds rather odd?

Sounds good. Gap minimal, not bad for launch games.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Ps5 continues to impress!

Mean while on Switch, Alien Isolation plays better than both PS4 and XB1 versions.

It all comes down to optimization.
