Hint 2: These minor vehicles are usually used to transport your tiny character from one destructive vehicle to the next.

33: The Expanded Universe was great. A treasure trove of cool stories and of course video games. This game was the start of a subseries consisting of the game, obviously, and comic books.

Hint 2: A big plot point of this subseries, which doesn't really come across much in the game but instead more in the comics and novel, is that a crime lord wants to kill off the famous hero from the main movies, to oust the hero's father, who is the galaxy's greatest villain, and take his place beside the overarching emperor.

32: This game and its only successor is heavily inspired by a famous series of spy movies. So much so, that the creators changed their male protagonist to a female, because they were afraid of getting accused of ripping it off. Guessed by Bofferbrauer2 - The Operative: No One Lives Forever

31: Most games in this series feature game worlds that are a maze, a series of varied areas strung together to form a seamless universe, but not this one. This one more story oriented and therefore more linear than usual.

Hint 2: Obviously the previous hint contains a sentence from a description for another game I posted earlier, but since that's now a couple pages back, I'll add that even though this game is more linear, you'd be still relieved to come across a save room, after being chased by the game's eerie yet familiar antagonist.

#33 KOTOR? It sure as hell is a Star Wars game, but I can't really see which one, so I hope it is KOTOR.

#31: Metroid Other M?

Probably should've mentioned Bofferbrauer also tried his hand on 33 initially, and guessed KotOR. But that one's not it. Sorry about that.

Like I said then though, Star Wars is indeed correct. There's another such subseries however (taking place during the original movie era (third hint more or less, because why not), though one with just one videogame and no talk of movies and tv-shows, because it wasn't as memorable as KotOR (and the Old Republic era in general) is.

Metroid Other M is close, here as well the franchise is right, but it's another game. Haven't played Other M, so I'm not sure how well the last part of the second hint fits with that one.
