This could be a close one, depending on how long until Sony discontinues the PS4. If they producing it for another three years or more it may just manages to crawl its way passed.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

Wii's legs in these aligned comparisons will start to give out next year; unless Nintendo abandon the Switch as prematurely as they did the Wii, which is unlikely as the circumstances are entirely different, Switch's greater stamina will carry it to victory in the long run.

Switch is proportionately weaker than Wii in Europe, with less than a third of its sales from there compared to 40% for the Wii, Nintendo definitely needs to work on strengthening Switch there.
Still, it should eventually win by sheer force of numbers as it's likely to sell 30-40 million more globally.

Now that's a silly approach to an analysis. A lower percentage of Switch sales is going to occur in Europe by virtue of Switch being much stronger than the Wii in Japan and the rest of the world, so such percentages aren't going to tell you how well Switch is actually doing in Europe.

Nintendo didn't set an MSRP for Switch hardware in Europe, so in many countries the retailers are still going with prices north of €300 for the hybrid and above €200 for the Lite. For one, price points like €329 and €219 don't look as good as €299 and €199, and two, the rather price-sensitive and fragmented European market is bound to pick up once Nintendo sells any of their SKUs at lower prices.

The Switch vs. Wii gap is very similar in the USA and Europe, and there's no good reason to doubt that Switch will win both comparisons.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

I know PS3 isn't Sony's most successful system, but all the same outpacing a Sony home console in Europe is still something to see given how powerful the PS brand is there.
