The only problem I have with ubuntu is the glitches in Compiz-Fusion. The rest is good.

What the fuck is up with Linux, and do they pay you to advertise this bullshit?
Fuck Linux.
I'll say whatever I want, this is section 8 motherfuckers.
I'm planning on it one day. I use windows because I'm a PC gamer, and I'm not sure how Linux would handle all that.
linux = god like

I have OpenSUSE Linux and I love it so far. A minor problem, though. I can't seem to setup my router properly to access the internet...

Can you ping your router? If not, what is your wireless chipset (if you have one)?
Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.
If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.

First getting installed on my laptop was Hell but then it just couldn't do anything nearly as well as I could do on Windows without adding 10 extra steps and still not always be as good as whatever I would use on Windows. |
The user friendliness of Linux has come a long long way in 5 years, especially when it comes to laptops. 5 years ago, linux was still just getting used to being a viable desktop option, so they were not even bothering with Laptop specific problems (drivers). Now all that has changed in the mainstream linux distributions. Try the Ubuntu Live CD, preferably after the 22nd when 8.04 is released and you will see just how much Linux has evolved.

It cannot damage your files in any way and can be removed using Add/Remove Programs or the .exe itself. Try it. If you don't like it, fine, I'm OK with that. But don't be an jgnorant Windows user - it's free, it's fast, it's secure, it has 3D wobbly windows that run great on crud integrated Intel graphics. Post any questions here. |
pfff...my ass its secure.
I'll probably pick up 10 viruses if i get this. thanks, but no thanks.
