Where did you get that from?  Chances are SF4 will be on the Wii and DS.

Welp, I believe that Namco has done right by the Wii this gen, with Fragile and Tales of Symphonia to name a few.

Considering that neither title has been released yet... that's a foolish statement.

No, I disagree. These are big money titles regaurdless of their quality, making Namco one of the few companies to plan or release big money titles on the Wii exclusively.

1) Until these titles are on store shelves they are vaporware. Remarking on quality of a game you haven't played is foolish.

2) Namco is putting Tales of games on tons of platforms. They're shoveling them out the door these days. Getting one for the Wii especially a measily sequel and not the next main Tales of game is depressing.

3) The new ToS game could easily bomb. The original was mediocre and this one seems to offer very little in the way of original concepts/gameplay (that we have seen).

Titles that are coming out aren't vaporware. Give me a break.

I'm not commenting on their quality. I said they cost a lot of money. More than a port, more than shovelware. They could suck, but they certainly are costly.

Tales of Symphonia wasn't mediocre, imo, or in most reviewers opinions. It was great. It also has the biggest fanbase of any "tales" game to date, WAY bigger than it's second place finisher, Tales of the Abyss, by the same development team, mind you. Furthermore, the same team that did ToS, TotA(the other critically acclaimed tales game I know of) is doing its next game as ToS 2. Not a shovelware tales game, a real one by a great development team.

You don't seem to know much about it.

That said, ToS obviously has a huge cult following.

So what if it easily bombs. It's a Wii quality JRPG with 60 hours of gameplay from a great development team. It costs some money and has been in development for along time. That's why I think Namco deserves some props. It's more than most other developers are willing to invest for a Wii exclusive so early in the consoles life when the title was obviously started.

You don't seem to know anything about ToS2, so keep your conjecture to yourself. Your nitpicking is bothering me, honestly.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

"You hate on Namco for doing this, so perhaps you could give me an example of a "HD" game that's made it to the Wii alongside PS3 & X360. I'm not saying it has to retain "HD" graphics or all the content of the "HD" versions, it just needs to be released on the Wii along with the HD versions. "

OK, so you mean that HD titles cant release on the Wii because reading between the lines they just cant. After all, the 360 and Ps3 have the same characterisitics especially in dealing with HD. Then why the hell Namco says all support for the Wii if what Namco really wants was to develop a game with HD graphics and they cant port it on the Wii because they just cant? Thats just stupid, cant they hire developers that deals with non HD games so they can enjoy HD games on the Wii just like what LucasArts did with Krome studios? And you all think that Namco have total support for the Wii, LOL... It only means was shovelware and minigames just like we cheer and we ski for Namco then.

It sounds like you're suffering from Wii Fit syndrome. In other words, it's impossible to acknowledge what Namco's offering because you're too intensely focused on the game ideas that you don't like.

To me that pretty good since the wii has only one released by a third party.

Japanese 3rd party companies have already released 3 RPGs that I know of.  Plus Final Fantasy is on Wiiware but that is more of a simulation game so I won't count that.

Opoona is definitely one what are the other two that has been released. I would like to know so I can import them.

I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

ToS sold more than ToA which had 5 times the GC userbase. Even though the sales of the sequel could be much less than the first I'm convinced it will sell more than the next main series installment: Tales of Vesperia on the X360 (I still don't get why it isn't on the PS3 though).

As far as Soul Calibur is concerned, SC3 wasn't anything special (I got it for 20$ 3 months after its relase) so I don't have much hope for SC4. I also think that the game could easily be done on the Wii considering that while the game may have good graphics, it doesn't require much processor power. I mean the gameplay is so shallow that I don't see why they couldn't cut off something to fit it on the Wii. Oh well, I'm just glad to have Dawn of a New World anyway.

No. It means that they develop certain games for X360/PS3 because they are very similar spec wise and control wise and can fairly easily put it on both systems. By the same token, they develop Wii-specific games that are designed around the Wii's unique control scheme and what they think the Wii audience will buy.

We went over this the Resident Evil 5 for Wii thread. It's my opinion that even if it CAN be done, it just WON'T be done. That's my point. Just accept the fact that there are some games you want that you won't get on the Wii, just like anyone else who owns one current gen system.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. No platform (outside of arcade) has been announced for SF4 yet people have already convinced themselves that it's not coming to the Wii, even though we pretty much got confirmation that it was going everywhere.

Honestly he is pulling it out of his ass. Street Fighter 4's producer has said that he plans to put Street Fighter 4 on as many home platforms as possible.

So... what do you mean? Do you mean that the Wii dont have the same treament as  360/ps3? That 3rd party developers make the Wii a different console unlike 3rd party developers make the 360/ps3 a same console because of specs? And like you said, there'll be "original games" only for the Wii that suitable just for the Wii and its motion controls?
