Sure, and we also have some claiming that it probably won`t even take until end 2021.

Still which crossgen games have you seem confirmed from MS releasing after Series X releases?

What games even have a release window?

That is true enough.

That was a good showcase. A lot of it was just updates of previous stuff shown off last time but there was also several new things and it feels good to finally get prices and a release date. The prices were expected but they're still good. Sony is for sure trying to push people towards the digital one hard. My favourite part was the surprise that Demon's Souls is also coming to PC! I really thought it was gonna be an exclusive.

So it turns out the Demon's Souls coming to PC thing was a mistake. Damn it, this is like being given a gift and then having it be taken away from you almost right away.

Shouldn't expect it to not be exclusive.

Despite the fact that grounded already released (even if full release will be later) I thought it wasn`t AAA, same with Tell me Why, so only Halo would count on this.

And certainly if Sony made several patches to have much improved versions of TLOU2, FFVIIR and other recent titles it wouldn`t be considered crossgen do you agree?

Again, the full release for Grounded is literally in early 2021 and listed for XOne/XSeries/PC.  Being able to get it in Game Preview now on 2 of 3 options doesn't distract from the fact that this mentality falls in line with Matt Booty's emphasis about XGS cross-gen games.  Well, fine.  If you want to remain hyper-specific about AAA games than thus far Halo: Infinite would be the only one.  Considering the sad gap in development between Infinite & whatever their next AAA title will be, it seems like that'll remain the case.

Sure.  If you want to discount Tell Me Why from consideration, that's what I was trying to get across with the cross-gen/back-compat issue.

Not to be too blunt, but it feels like you're just weaseling out of your erroneous information from before.

Not really, I was expecting much more relevant titles to be revealed as crossgen. MS message on leaving no one behind and all seemed to be important to them. And Yes I only count AAA titles because really the titles that was discussed that X1 could hold down as crossgen were AAA since other titles wouldn't really be using the Series X.

As I said it is funny that Sony even without saying they would have crossgen or leave no one behind and that they wanted a fast transition still have more AAA titles being crossgen. And sure it raises concerns about PS4 holding down the game, it is a very valid concern that only after the game launch can be dispel.

The trailer saying that at the end made people believe it wasn't though. I didn't expect that so I thought it was a nice surprise but it was just a mistake which is annoying.

That means, there's a chance the PS Blog post had a typo, and Horizon: Forbidden West is a true next generation exclusive!

The strange thing is when I was watching there wasn`t that on the end of the trailer I thought it was a slide posted afterwards with some news from somewhere else, like the blog.

Thank you Sony, you made my decision to get an xbox much easier.

Pretty good showcase.

- Demon Souls being a launch title is a nice touch, should give PS5 launch much more hype
- Spiderman MM getting a PS4 version was the right call to make, not cool gatekeeping a stand-alone expansion to next gen. On the other hand it raises the cross gen double standard that Ps fans been imposing on Xbox.
-Ff16 looks awesome. Not surprised at all it’s only on PS5. Funny seeing people throw around “Console exclusive” for Ps titles, that’s our lingo lol.
- God of War coming next year? Sooner then I thought.
-Horizon FW coming to PS4??? Please confirm because that’s another cross gen game that defeats the purpose of early adoption next to Spiderman.
- $399 is a good deal for digital. Surprised main console matching Series X at $499. Thought they go for the kill and do $450. Imo it’s weird a less powerful machine is the same price as Series X but then again I am aware Sony doesn’t care and knows their brand will see them through.

Just my thoughts as a Xbox fan, not looking for a fight. It was a good show.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Was not referring to tf at all. Its all the other components like the Compute units, cpu speeds, ram speeds and other stuff like vfs they have made for xbox. . The only thing Sony has is the faster ssd which doesn't improve graphics. The speed difference is not that much.

Moving on from that, was expecting to be 50 to 100 cheaper as they have harder time to sell value for money. That's my opinion not the overall opinion.

Not always disappointed. I do have a ps4. Just haven't played anything since gow as I am waiting for the ps5 version of the last gen ps4 games. That always happens when the last batch of ps4 games get release few months before ps5 :).  Waiting on them before buying a os5

I found it disappointing with the price as it has the weaker hardware and only 2 games that's worth getting at launch which are exclusives

"Weaker". But faster.

In real world performance, we don’t yet know how much the extra TFLOPS the XSX has over the PS5 will affect overall performances. For all we know, the XSX was will have a slight advantage on visual fidelity, while the PS5 will have the speed advantage with games having less pop-ins and loading faster overall.

TFLOPS don’t tell the complete story.

But you were always going to be disappointed no matter what Sony brought.

Nah, the mistake there will be that it's actually exclusive to PS4 lol.

It wasn't at the end of it in the showcase but was at the end in the stand alone gameplay uploaded afterwards. Whoever made that mistake has annoyed many people today.

The only people happy about the crossgen on the thread were the ones that didn`t want to buy PS5 at launch so will be able to play on PS4, and we have seem several complains about it. Guess you jumped it.

Agree on SM:MM if were only PS5 would only be by Sony decision to "screw" PS4 owners since the base game was PS4 all along (and I only seem one user talking as if it looked nextgen). On Horizon 2 though it raises concerns that it may be a held down, let`s see what happen.

On price I think Sony could have made it 450 but wanted to break even so they could subside more the discless plus they don`t think price parity will be an issue even being weaker (and you agree with it).
