Forums - Gaming Discussion - Harada: "Nearly 60% of fighting game players are on WiFi"

I can’t wait for all fighting games to separate WiFi and wired connections. It has to happen eventually and it would be for the best

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

anyway not playing vs a person on the same device LMAO

Everything should be wireless; if only electricity could be wireless.

Electricity has always been wireless, and we can already transmit it without wires. (Technically, we've been able to do that for over a century now). I'm not sure we'll ever reach a truly wireless future, but the tech development is pretty neat (and will be very useful for rural areas in particular).

Sorry but having fun with games is for Casuals.

What an elitist article, I'm not a pro player, I'll play on Wi-Fi if I want to (and I do).

Signature goes here!

It's the developers fault. Just give the gamers option to not play against opponents using WiFi, if it's that big of a deal, it's on the devs to fix.

Since I don't play online this is something I don't concern myself with.

It’s because wires suck.

Having less wired running around is a good thing. Everything should be wireless; if only electricity could be wireless.

It can be wireless, Nikola Tesla was very invested with research on wireless energy but sadly did not get the needed backing.

I feel for you bro. I pretty much forbid wireless contraptions on my main workspace. Surface Studio hooked to nothing. Only power supply cable.

As for issues with wifi... my router is six meters away, but in a high transit area. Getting around 2.88 ms of latency. No way that impacts your experience negatively.

not sure if it's the poor netcode or the amount of wifi users, but fighting games seem to be the very worst when it comes to online play. The connection quality is always terrible.

Well, the games I seem to play run fine. It seems to get worse with time of the day more than anything else.
