Forums - Sony Discussion - (CONFIRMED) Sony State of Play August 6th - No Big PS5 news

How do you grade SOP August 6th 2020?

Thank God they advised to... 9 24.32%

Lot`s of gameplay/10 3 8.11%

7+ (Very good) 5 13.51%

3 - (Very bad) 9 24.32%

4 to 6 (Lukewarm) 11 29.73%

Total:37

With the month close to end and we nearing August 6th let's start to warm-up to the event.

Some rumours of content showing up.

Mind you that Cory Barlog seemly denied they will reveal anything on this event.

Sony confirmed the 6th for the event but no big PS5 announcements

It's confirmed?

I think Silent Hill has potential but that 6th August leak in that link sounds incredibly fake.
Nomura talking about FF7? CG reveal for GoW? PE remake? The license doesn't even belong to SE and I doubt they will pay to use it again.

I doubt buy it.

The 10th Aug leak sounds a lot more believable, granted it's also stacked with games so I don't know. But most of what is mentioned seems very viable, to some degree.

Personally I just hope they show off the new UI and features connected to PS5 software.

From what I know there is confirmation of a State of Play for early August, but yes the list on the link is probably just wishfull thinking.

I don’t buy it either.

Parasite Eve remake?
Metal Gear Solid Collection?
Days Gone 2?
Too good to be true.

But If true, Only the MGS collection would make me buy a PS5 day one.

Hell, if they show a SH5 teaser, trailer or clue that we will have it, ill buy 2 PS5, Eff it!

Good thing that list is fake otherwise it would be a good time to catch up on a nap.

I want a new Silent Hill so bad, I hope that rumor is true. Since the main RE games went first person I need another survival horror franchise to carry the torch for me.

We should be getting a confirmation of date anytime now I guess.

Never thought it would be Sony that would go first in terms of console price/release date.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

We don`t really know if that info will be shared on this event, myself I doubt it unless they are pretty confident MS have 0 chance of undercutting them or even if undercutting their price is so good that it doesn`t matter.
