Well that was an incredible pain in the ass, but I finally got my konami id.

It's possible to do it without any add-on's.... though it does take MANY tries.

wait. What the point of having a Konami ID? I don't need to register if i already downloaded the beta via MetalGearSaga2 dvd right?

@Munkeh, I had it downloaded within a day of the beta going live. It took quite a while, though. I was averaging 25 kb/s via the P2P setup, and the HTTP method didn't work at all.

 You need to register. The KonamiID/GameID is sort of like Resistance: Fall of Man and how you had to register for MyResistance when you wanted to play it online. It's most likely for things like stat tracking and such.
