Forums - Gaming - First console you bought for yourself, and why you chose it

In a way I guess it was good that my Dad got me an Xbox instead of the Gamecube I wanted as it broadened my horizons as a gamer.

As a result, the 360 was the first non-Nintendo console I bought with my own money, which I chose because it had the superior version of most multiplatform games, including the ones I was most interested in like Bayonetta and Bioshock, along with Halo and Gears.

GameCube was the first console I bought after being a PC-only gamer throughout the 90s (THE decade for two of my most favorite genres, point & click adventures and RTS).

I was curious to play "typical console" games and started with Wave Race Blue Storm, Burnout, Beach Spikers and Star Fox Adventures.

Shout out to Beach Spikers! That game was pure joy to play.

I would buy that game in an instant if made available on the eshop I loved that game
