Ehh I have no faith in 343, whatsoever in making a game I would consider to be the same caliber of 1-3 or even Reach. They do make good games but yeah just gonna leave it there.

Well that's in your own preference of thinking. No one can tell you otherwise.

You also probably don't take scores to seriously right?

Erm.. that depends, scores should really only be taken as guidelines. I am loving Command & Conquer Remastered, I don't care if its sitting on a 99 or 49 Metascore. I believe the only true score to a game is the one you can grant yourself with your own experience with the game.

And what you think of the 70 scores gave to this game?

 I don't like R* and after 40h of TW3 I couldn't make myself like the game.

Also loved Uncharted but TLOU not liked as much.

To tell the truth I prefer SM and GoW over TLOU.

I agree on not liking R*, also love god of war better than anything else. I loved the first TLOU, Im still waiting on this one. Loved TW3.

But thats the thing, look at our preferences. everyone has varied taste, but we have to admit that certain games have an appeal that has broader reach. Even if we hate R* their games are loved by many. Its like COD, many people play that game sure, but how many love it? or how many would play it if its not a type of game they would like to beging with? Thats the kind of thing that speaks quality. For me to hate a certaing type of game, but then a game comes along that even I have an interest in playing, even months after I get it on the bargain bing. Cuz let me tell you that I would not play a COD or Fifa even if it was free.

Yep I totally accept that ND and R* are very well regarded independent of we liking or not their games, and also that CoD, Fifa and other yearly titles will sell a lot and lot of people love them even if we never buy or play their games.

I`m pretty sure it won`t challenge TLOU2 score or sales, but well it is still something great coming few months before console gen ends, hope it can sell enough before it loses the spotlight and not end up with GT6 sales being reducted because of new gen.

It would be a shame if GoT get overshadowed by the PS5.

I guess that is the reason why they didn`t postpone it more after postponing TLOU2. Give it one month after TLOU2 and 3 months before PS5 to get most of sales, and sure make some patches and reannounce it for PS5 for extra bucks.

I can only say that every trailer left me wanting it more.

I know How you feel and under different circumstances I would also be all in, but I have seen the leaks so I still worried and keep praying that they where wrong. So I will still wait for next weeks batch.

One of the review I saw said he went read all the leaks after finishing the game and assured they were either fake or completely out of context.

That is great to hear. I`m pretty certain they went very heavy on minorities and identitary, but hardly in a way that would bother during playing.

I think it just has to be accepted by all that naughty dog has reached a level atop the rest. The only other devs in its ranks are rockstar and CDPR.

Santa Monica too.

GoW5 will be all the rage when they announce it xD

God of War beats everything else in my opinion. But as a dev team, as far as I know, santa monica is only known for GOW. As much as I love god of war I would not consider a team that makes the same game as one of the greats.

The God of War series wasn't up for GOTY for many years and its past releases especially Ascensions didn't cut it, however look what happen with God of War 2018, it just proves it can be done and Halo is a well known franchise that is familiar to success, when done right it can be up there with the very best of them. Obviously more has to be seen however the hype behind the new release is building a lot of tension. Will wait and see.

That's the problem with GOTY awards, some games get left out due to popularity and Half Life Alyx being a VR only game, only hinders its chances as it wont be a popular choice at the awards. Its why GOTY awards shouldn't be taken too seriously. Well I don't take them seriously.

GoW Ascension is the only console game that didn't score in the GOTY territory, and it was a prequel.

GoW1 (94), GoW2 (93), GoW3 (92), GoW4 (94)

See GoW4 have the same score as GoW1, that certainly means Halo 6 will have the same score as Halo 1. So they will win GOTY this year. Even if scores and GOTY doesn`t mean anything to Azzanation.

All these 10/10s. Holy shit. There are only a few genuine critical reviews. It's very sad how restricted the reviews are with showing any materials to emphasize their point. Skill Up's review about the game is as close to genuine as it gets. Naughty Dog is really dead to me.

This definitely feels like it will be one of those high review scores from critics while low scores from actual players.

SkillUp didn't like the gameplay of the original TLOU. He thought it was okay at best. Same here. That's why the advancements of the sequel are not enough for him, and I doubt it will be for me either.
And like him I'm also quite bothered when I can't believe the character's actions and motivations. But a lot of people don't have a problem with things like that.

This is not a case a where hundred reviewers have been bribed.
They just appreciate certain things more than I do, and that's fine.

Most of the reviews I saw are not very critical as SkillUp. That was my basis for this being another over hyped game by critics. But we can't really prove if reviewers were paid to give these 10/10s.

Regardless, it's evident that Druckmann messed with the things that worked in the previous game's story. Let me be clear that I've seen the leaks so I know as much as what could happen in the game's story. I won't discuss that in detail here. Based on what SkillUp said, that this turned into a grimdark revenge story devoid of any light, pretty much confirms the biggest fear I had in the leak.

TLOU worked because of the great interaction between characters that acted in a really grounded manner. It also had a great balance between tragedy and hope. If this is gone, then the game is pretty much lost.

So Sony bought 80+ reviewers just as they also bought 100+ developers? They are really putting the money on playstation.

And thank god we have this sole beackon of morality in SkillUp to speak up.
