Zack and Wiki - only commenting on this because a few people mentioned it.. No.. just no.. not for a 10 year old

No your off Zack and Wiki is perfect, this is a thinking game, this isn't like an action game or a platformer, it's a puzzle adventure game,  The difficulty isn't the same, frankly a 10 year old would probably have less trouble figuring out the puzzles than an adult because they aren't as set in their thinking patterns and the very natural controls make it a perfect match, little kids aren't stupid they do logic puzzles and problem solving all the time, and they tend to see things adults take for granted,

Rocketpig, have you already made a decision?

what about links crossbow training, it's a fantastic gaming experience but it could be described as a little short unless she's into beating high scores then it'll keep her amused for a long time, also have you thought about buying her any more gamecube games that she hasn't played yet? Maybe also consider no more heroes, best game this century imo, although the content may be a bit much for her, lol.

nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

If you're looking for something that you all can play and you'll enjoy pick up Rayman Raving Rabbids and not part 2. The first one is not only cheaper, but it is also better. More party games and the games overall are better. Fun to play for any age.

I got her Brawl and it was a big hit. She loved the game and we unlocked 3-4 characters while I was there.

She also had SMG and the first words out of her mouth were "help me beat this level". Just like I figured.

On another note, I'm now trying to decide if I'm motivated enough to roll to Target tomorrow morning and pick myself up a Wii when they open. I think there are enough games available for it now to warrant a purchase after I sold my old one last summer.

No More Heroes.

That'll fuck her up. lmao

Good to hear the gift was a success and made her happy!

And did you actually have to help her with SMG or was is just some unnecessary cry for help? Cause the start really isn't all that difficult, so maybe she just wants to play together and this is her way to try to get you involved. So the real question is, could she get trough the game when playing alone with nobody around to help her out?

Good luck finding a Wii, are you sure they'll have them available?
