Well a 2080 is faster than a 5700 XT and yea RDNA2 will be faster than RDNA1.

5700 XT = 40 CU. PS5 = 36 CU but PS5 will be faster with less CU than 5700 XT with more CU.

But a 2080 is a good amount faster than 5700 XT. You would need the Series X to match/beat that performance in GPU. But we won't know for sure until we see more games/engines.

And the person I linked is just verifying what reddit said is correct.

I don't know why you compare the RTX2080 with the 5700XT.
It should be mobile 2080.
The PS5 GPU has a 10.3TF performance because the clock is very high.
Even at 36CU, it is more powerful than the 5700XT.

The Video is HOAX,

Yea mobile 2080 is good amount faster than 5700 xt...

And yea, I said the ps5 is faster than 5700 XT even though the ps5 is 36 CU...

Which is why it's not connect.

2080 desktop is faster then 5700 XT in some games (most of the times actually) but not the Mobile variant.

2080 Max Q is the mobile variant that underclock heavy and match the performance of RTX 2060

PS5 >>> RTX 2060

claiming it can run better then PS5 demo is just straight lie

The original translation didn't mention Max Q but instead said 2080 mobile which is different. If it said Max Q, I would have said otherwise.

STill related, a mobile version always  inferior to desktop variant. If it has the same performance your Laptop will only able to run for 5 minute LOL.

EDIT: BTW I am not saying you lying, I am referring to the Chinese guy from the Reddit that claim Unreal Engine 5 demo  run on Laptop GPU.

Correct but it is still generally as fast as the 2070 Super Desktop which is faster than 5700XT.

No

2080 mobile either "super" variant or normal variant it's still using the same 2080 variant that clocked slower.

Even on desktop, the 2080 super is just slightly faster than the 2080 standard.

That Laptop are using RTX Desktop GPU  variant check the preview for the laptop.

"  In fact, the desktop-class socketed components make the Alienware Area-51m a prodigious value, compared to competing laptops like the MSI GT75 Titan. MSI’s desktop replacement will set you back $4,199 (about £3,150, AU$5,900) at the top end, with weaker laptop hardware, and without the possibility of future upgrades "
