I saw the mod tag on JWeinCom an hour ago and did a double take--glad to see it's real :)

Congrats all!

Hey there, and congrats to you all. It looks like nobody stepped down this time, and the team was expanded upon outright.

Just curious, a few years ago there was a mod that always used a chun li avatar and was always defending socialism/comunism. Cant remember his name. Vgpolyglot I think. Is he still on vgc? Always some very interesting discussions.
And welcome to the new mods.

Congrats dudes!

Thanks @Rol/Veknoid

Don't think a big speech is necessary, but all I'll say is this. As a lot of people who interact with me probably know, I love a good argument. I think the forum and the world would be a boring place if we all disagree.

Here are the two things that I notice a lot that though that are problems when we get into that territory. Firstly, people arguing against a person instead of the point that they're making. Secondly, when two people dig in and each is desperate for a victory, so they argue about a relatively insignificant technicality to secure a win (admittedly this is something that I tend to do sometimes as well... we're all human.) Those are the two things that I'll probably be looking at most, as well of course as any messages that are flagged.

Also, just as a general message, the best way you can contribute as users is to be liberal with your like buttons when you see the kinds of posting you want to encourage. Doesn't cost a dime and positive reinforcement is typically more effective than punishment, which is what we have to do as mods. That and creating topics that you think will generate positive and or interesting discussions (Curl is pretty good with this).

So, happy to be part of the mod team and hopefully I can help make the forums better.
