Forums - Sales Discussion - COMG! Japan Pre-Order Chart

Super Robot Wars 30 is looking to be an interesting one to watch it needs to average 6 points per day between both platforms to match the combined total of Super Robot Wars T which was the first game in the series to launch day one on both PS4/Switch a little over 2.5 years ago, The Switch % has increased over Super Robot Wars T which finished with 41 points whilst the PS4 should finish well down on T's 107 points.

Far out that is a very green chart, nice to see, especially with Fatal Frame gaining some preorders.

RFA got a restock, and it's still selling like hotcakes

Definitely going to be the lowest selling Call of Duty title in a rather long time in Japan.

Absolutely - thats a very big surprise that CoD has that bad numbers 2 weeks before launch.

it's not. Bet against the market leader is not a good choice. Call of Duty out of Nintendo system, neither DS and Wii suffer this.

Looks like no leg for Demon's slayer

DQ10 offline is the same point on Switch and ps4.
Another interesting result.

FYI the Dragon Quest SKUs are the next version for the ONLINE version of DX10

The OFFLINE game is coming much later. Around February 2022

Hope that offline version also comes to the west at some point

Well, I have do admit I really was wrong about how low the numbers of CoD in Japan in the launch week had gone after 2018.

I still had something like 150k in mind, because for quite some time the numbers were roughly like that.

I just have looked for the numbers now.

2014 144k PS3+PS4
2015 165k PS3+PS4
2016 106k PS4
2017 168k PS4
2018 229k PS4
2019 118k PS4
2020 90k PS4+PS5

Seems 2021 will be lower than 90k...

2017 and 2018 were the ps4 software peak for PS4. So, after this, ps4 goes in a spiral down software-wise.

In 2018 the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reached 511K physical and it's probably the highest result for the franchise of all time with Digital, previously Call of Duty: Black Ops II released in 2012 on the PS3 was the best selling entry in the franchise with 575K sales. For the past decade Vanguard will be by far the lowest performing Call of Duty game:

Also the franchise managed over 2 million physical on both the PS3 & PS4, something that's looking unlikely for the PS5.
