Last post I do here. I'll just say fuck the electoral college and fuck winner takes all. I've voted in 4 elections and my vote has never counted. My vote has never counted.

You voted against Obama twice?!

I so wished Bernie was in this race, Biden doesn't have the enthusiasm

Counting in the remaining swing states has slowed to a total crawl now, sigh.

Some are pretty much done counting til 5am or 8am. Probably time to call it a night after Trump speaks.

And here I thought I couldn't be happier to not live in the US.

I might have been wrong with claiming only a small minority of US citizens are Nazis.

At least it can't be sexism this time around.

Yep, it's something way worse.

As a conservative living in Virginia, a blue state, I could say the same thing. Virginia's electoral votes are still going to Biden even though I can't stand him. We still have 2 Democrat senators in spite of my votes against them. Both my district's State Delegate and US Representative would have won even without my vote because I live in a very red part of the state. So technically my votes don't "count", but I still feel privileged to get to vote, sadly there are still people in the world who don't get that right.

That's why I like multiparty proportional representation.   It's what most other countries do but we are winner takes all so throws out all votes of losers.

I feel reminded of school a lot. I remember when I asked my history teacher why dictators would bother to hold elections at all, since it could only threaten their reign. My teacher surprised me by saying that dictators absolutely love elections because it legitimizes them. She was absolutely right. Also showed me how elections aren't necessarily a sign that you live in a democracy.

Lol GOP winning the house popular vote currently but Dems are keeping the house.

Ok, let's get into premature damage control. I'll start.

Even if Biden had won, he would've faced a GOP Senate blocking everything. So his loss doesn't really matter.

It seems like Trump has this. The map looks very similar to the 2016 election except for Arizona.
The result of the election does not affect me directly, but I was hoping for a change. In general, I've always thought the politics of the Democratic party in the middle east were more moderate, things were kind of moving in the right directions here by the end of Obama's presidential period. Oh well.. This is not about me. So, best of luck to USA citizens. I hope you know what you are doing.
