Could be even better. Instead of only having the Treehouse Live kinda thing in LA alone, they could just skip to developers talking and playing their games all over the world.

I wonder if companies will use this as an excuse to just start doing their own digital shows from now on. They certainly can see E3 is going down faster and faster each year.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I’m sorry but I think cancelling stuff (any stuff, doesn’t matter that this thread happens to be about E3) this far in advance is exaggerating. E3 is when like 3 months from now? I guess jumping the gun comes with these a-social media times, but I would’ve waited before making such a definitive decision. The whole virus thing could just as well be blown over by then. Could also not, but you can also cancel your event two months from now if need be.

It takes a lot of work planning these kinda things. Both the organizers and attendees spend a lot of money on this event. The longer they wait, the more money they'll all lose.

Too soon.

If they cancel now they have a limited amount of money spent and can bounce back next year. If they have to cancel in May then they would have spent a ton of money and might not be able to absorb that loss.
