Today 02-02-2020 is the first global palindrome day in 909 years since 11-11-1111, next will come in 101 years on 12-12-2121 and after that there will not be another date until 03-03-3030... you get the idea.

Let's celebrate this rare and special day by returning to an old topic recently brought up by a salty member (I kid, I kid) about salty moderations. Won't be making a list of good and bad users this time around, but still feel free to share your best moderation.

Kudos to OTB for this thread idea.

Well let me see... This moderation I'm thinking about, I was right, the mod was wrong. Or perhaps I should say I was very right and the mod was very wrong as opposed to other moderations in which the mod was wrong too but not as wrong, there was room for interpretation. Here is the thing, I don't do "wrong". As a human at worst I can make a mistake and should that happen, I see the mistake for what it is afterwards, but when I stick to my guns it's because I'm not wrong.

Now all this does not matter cause at the end of the day, one is not moderated because one is wrong, one is moderated because somebody else has the power to moderate you. Right and wrong are abstract concepts in the mouth of the speaker, the one being "right" at the end of the day is simply the one with POWER to moderate you, the one being "wrong" is the one that does not have the power to stop the moderation and thus has to take it.

I'm not sure who said this, I think i heard that Hitler said it but I can't be sure: Anyway, the say goes like this: He who has power is ALWAYS right, period!

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

These are rules. I don't do well with rules. I say what I want and what I believe in and what I believe in just happens to be ok with rules OR not. I'm not a drone that obediently does what he's told.

If you start saying something according to rules then what you say is not what you think or what you want, it's just a rules pleaser. Kind of defeats the purpose of a place where you as an individual come to express yourself.

I don't want to hear people saying they like this or that cause some rule forces them to, I want to know what they really think so I can agree or disagree and debunk their thought process.

I guess I'm touching fundamentals of society and it's not a secret that I don't believe in society or human culture and by extension I don't believe in human rules. I'm just trying to be logical both with you people and with myself. I cannot say I'm a free thinker that does not believe in human culture and at the same time say that rules are great and that we need to be controlled and leashed at all times by our masters in power.

If I say something mods don't like then by all means let them ban me. I won't enjoy that but the alternative is to submit and betray myself and that can never happen, not while I'm an individual with individual thoughts. I don't mean to break rules, I just mean to not follow any in particular and come what may
