I guess the person doesn't really like to play, the person just like to have something to distract him from his daily life.

My opinion is if you need portability to play games, then it is time for a new hobby.
|
I do play on my phone like 1h a day or somedays even more, but I don't even count that as gaming because it is very limited.
I drive to work and everywhere all day so I can't just do the play while commuting so portability is a no factor for me. I really like the big screen.
super_etecoon said: Dude...you guys have obviously never experienced the joy of console gaming at work. I probably got in at least 100 hours of Zelda BOTW time, not to mention Stardew Valley, Rocket League, and Mario Odyssey while on the job. The fact is, while I love gaming, I have so much going on in my life that I sometimes have to steal minutes and hours away from the day to get in my gaming sessions. Doesn't mean I need a new hobby; it means I'm trying to cram my hobby into a very busy life. Nothing wrong with that. |
Nope. I believe most work while at work.
Nothing wrong with you using the scraps of time you can to play and portability allowing that (smartphones also allow it).
The problem is the number of times we get people pretending the game suddenly became better (or is more gaming) because it is on a small screen, on a shaking bus with loud noise breaking the immersion. How can that really make the game better?

"PS4 is a better place to play games than PS5" from Sony themselves |
Well until November 2020 that ad is true, they may have to change afterwards =p

When I said biggest I ment = budget, quality, graphics, Story, expectations, wow-factor (you get CoD+Fifa every year) ect.
TLoU - part 2 + Final Fantasy 7 Remake + CyberPunk 2077 are the "big" tittles for 2020.
I expect them all to get pretty great metacritic scores too, but that wasnt really what I ment by "big" titles. These are "the movers & shakers" that will push hardware, akin to a new Zelda Breath of the Wild or Mario Oddessey.
Some games are great enough, to make you go out and buy a console if your lacking one. These titles are that type of games.

So what you meant was "in my subjective opinion"? Yeah, I thought as much. For the industry itself it's definitely not the biggest game of the year though.
Plus I can practically guarantee you that more people have bought a PS4 for FIFA or COD than will buy one for the FF7 remake.

We know you are just tormenting him.
