Thought that the Switch's peak would be last year, but maybe not. Hard to say until they announce something besides Animal Crossing for this year.

2 weeks in and switch is almost at 1 million sales. This will be a big year.

This is some incredible momentum for the Switch. Either people are using money/gift cards from the holidays to purchase it or people are buying in anticipation of Animal Crossing. Probably the former rather than the latter, but I look forward to seeing what kind of baseline we can expect.

I actually calculated Switch up 34% at this point.  That's nuts and amazing.  2019 was still getting a Smash Bros boost in January.  Each week in January 2019 that wore off some, but this year Switch just has solid and powerful base sales.  Switch sales are still accelerating and at a phenomenal rate at that!

Yeah, but Switch 2019 was already better than PS4 2017. And as we see, 2020 is very promising to be even better. Would be interesting to compare with Wii and PS2 best years. I don’t have the numbers, but I think both these consoles had some insane numbers in some point of their lifetime. Especially PS2

Damn, Switch and PS4 are really dusting Xbox One. 3 and 4 times the sales. People keep saying Switch isn’t in competition with the other two but are they sure it’s not Xbox One that’s not in competition with the other two?
