That studio has 3x as much room to chill or drink as it has working space. I need a job there even if it's as janitor^^

3 new Dragon Quest games for the west announced on the DQ stream; DQ12, DQ3 2D Remake running on the Octopath Engine, and a DQ11 spinoff called DQ Treasures. No platforms announced for any of the 3, nor were platforms announced for DQ Infinity Strash- Adventures of Dai, the DQ action RPG that was announced last year. Hopefully the success of DQ11 on Gamepass means that all or most of these will make it to Xbox, hopefully with Gamepass release.

Sony will find a way to Money-Hat DQ 12.

MS need to go to Square and try to get DQX as a Windows/Xbox Exclusive to the West like they did Phantasy Star Online 2, give them a deal to host it on Azure.

If SE wants the money and the game to be timed exclusive, then thats their decision to make.

But I'm not sure why you think they'll do that when a switch version most likely will exist.

And DQX is getting an offline version afaik.

I guess you forgot that DQ11 was exclusive to PS4 for 2 years before it came to the Switch, not counting the 3DS version.

I saw an interesting sight today. Went into my local Walmart and lo and behold, 4 Xbox Series S units sitting in the Xbox display case. Was not expecting to see that, the last several times I went in Walmart the Xbox case was completely devoid of all consoles

You already get the Series S with a 20-30€ rebate in Germany so I guess there is enough production capacity for countries like USA now.

Things are MUCH different now than they were when DQ11 released, particularly in Japan. Releasing a Japan-loved game only on PS5 and not Switch would be suicide in that market. I could see it not coming to XBox at launch though, unfortunately.

Yeah SE on their typical BS. Can easily see it being a money hat. If I had to choose I'd hope it's PS exclusive over Switch exclusive given the better of two evils for me.

Well it was announced before the Switch was announced; a 3DS version was in development; and up until that point DQ was a franchise that launched on a platform that had already been successful with a sizeable install base.

Sony wouldn't have needed to do anything to get DQ11 onto the PS4 as the only console. It logically was the only console choice at the time.

With how similar the consoles are to develop for, third party exclusives are moneyhats, thats obvious to anyone.

Sony proved it themselves with their stats about Horizons ROI on Steam. If a port which sold good but not crazy amounts on Steam had such a high ROI then it should be obvious that only money hats make sense to hold a game like DQ11 back from other platforms.
