Looks like MS is closing the 1:1 Gamepass Ultimate Conversion loophole finally:

The new conversion rates it seems. Nowhere near as good of a deal now, the cheapest option is now 12 months of EA Play for $30 converting to 4 months of Gamepass Ultimate, which is half off the usual price of $60 for 4 months of Gamepass Ultimate.
For now the 1:1 conversion still works for new subscribers, but not for existing subscribers. If you are an existing subscriber and want to top off your current sub to the maximum of 36 months, probably best to get the EA Play codes soon, because there is a possibility of EA Play leaving Gamepass and being replaced by Uplay+ later this year, which will make the next best conversion rate $10 for 20 days of Gamepass Ultimate regardless of which code you choose (unless you catch codes on a sale).

Aside from the EA Play stuff, it's really always been like this. I know, cus the first time I had Ultimate, I used a 6 month Live Gold code, cus I was curious to see what it would do. Converted it to 4 months, as advertised here, but this was like...idk...over a year ago. The 1:1 conversion of Gold, or regular GP to GPU has only ever gone one way. As such, we can't really see this as evidence of them changing that.
