I wonder if this is why you may not have given the demo a chance.  The game is not a GaaS as the developers dropped that model.  Its basically a game a lot of people have asked for which is a hero shooter that does not live behind the GaaS model.  You have a complete story that you can play CO-OP with your friends.

Even if it's not GaaS, still has some issues in my eyes. The writing didn't seem great, story was pretty nonsensical. Graphics were pretty dated, and though the art style on the prologue looked good, the game got pretty ugly after the time skip, turning into a muddy brown warzone. I wasn't a big fan of the combat, maybe it was just the class I picked but it seemed way too cover heavy, and I didn't like the fact that there is no time delay based health regen mechanic, with each class instead having a different mechanic for health regen that each requires doing damage to enemies, making it extremely difficult to get back in the fight if you take too much damage.

Its really hard to go off of story from a Demo so I am usually more open to see how things flesh out.  I found the graphics find for a game that was made before the new consoles.  I am not sure if the war torn part of the place you are at will be the only thing we see so I am still open as far as that is concerned.

As for the Class, actually playing the game as a cover shooter doesn't really work well with how the game characters are structured.  Since you gain health by going pure offensive and using your abilities.  Staying in cover only gets you killed while the game pretty much promotes you to rush into battle and use your abilities as much as possible to keep your health high.  I believe only the Fire dude is a pain since you have to mark enemies to get the health benefits unlike the others.  The game really opens up when you start to unlock our characters abilities and use them in combination with each other and other players.  Playing solo was ok for me but when I played with my Son and we started to combo our abilities, the game really shined.

Morrowind for me. I loved that game and even though I also love Skyrim and Oblivion, it just felt better especially because it didn't get simplified to sell to more people. One of my 5 favourite games of all time.

Gamepass on fire this month... gotta be one of the best months.

I wonder what will be the game announced in 2 days... if it's Persona, Xbox really outdone themselves this month lol

Also I'm not qualified to vote in this poll lol

Not sure it will be Persona in 2 days, there's a Square Enix event in 2 days so it could be something Square related...

... Now that would kinda make sense. They can't announce it with the other gamepass games if it's being revealed in an event... not going to get my hopes of for either one though lol.

Well, we already know what is being announced at the Square event at least, the timeline matches up but I'm just guessing.

Maybe one of these titles coming to Game Pass?

or a surprise FFVIIR port announcement for Xbox, maybe the deal is up. Again not expecting it lol but we can speculate. But out of those listed Balan Wonderland can use the help... game has flop written all over it.

I think they'd save Persona for something like 'E3'.

Balan or LiS3 are my bets.

I want to know who voted Daggerfall on the poll. Mad props to the Bethesda OG fan we have lurking in this thread somewhere.

I've yet to play Daggerfall (voted Oblivion) but I know quite well of it from old reviews/retrospectives. It's a shame that while techonology has evolved in gaming, the actual content in the games and series like Elder Scrolls is actually decreasing over time. Skyrim and Fallout 4 are practically closer to Action-Adventure titles at this point than classic D&D RPGs with real choices and character systems.

This is why I have so much hope for Avowed.

daggerfall unity engine for PC is quite the experience and just went into BETA last month

How is The Medium not a horror game? :P Dark abandoned hotel, talking to a dead little girl, hidìng from a disturbing monster.. yeah if I was the main character I'd go to a corner, curl up into a ball and shit myself.

Very good game so far, intriguing story and innovative gameplay stuff. Game Pass is killing it with games like this. Outriders is also a cool addition, gonna give it a shot.

It is horror themed. It's just more of an stealth investigative horror game along the lines of The Conjuring.

I swear if it turns out I was right about Atlus being among the main proponents of giving our side a leg up, I will eat my (cowboy) hat. We'll do it on livestream XD

You're looking at him. You can thank my eldest sister for introducing me to this game when I was eight. This was, in fact, my true first time with an RPG of ANY KIND. The first JRPG I played (FFVIII) came a year later.

Can I have another RPG where we're just another cool character in a world chuck full of them instead of an idiot with too much power for their small brain?

I have only ever played oblivion. Managed to close 2 gates... Or whatever they're called but just couldn't get into it and gave up not long after that.

I'll give the new Elder Scrolls a chance when it releases though but I won't vote in the poll at all though I suppose oblivion is technically my correct answer.

I have also yet to play a fallout game. So fallout 4 on 4k60ish is looking very promising to me.

Gamepass is getting better by the day...

Anyone here played octopath? Thinking about jumping back into gaming soon with one of the titles mentioned.

I haven't played in months at this point. Just in a gaming rutt...
